Hot Java

The meeting at the playground today went very well. Very well indeed. I am however not in a writing mood. I’m going to go play some Amiga emulation (me love Gamebase Amiga) and watch the Heroes finale. And then sleep, sweet sleep. But I don’t want to leave you empty-handed, so here are some goats:

Magnethe and Mads spotting something in the distance.

And Vanilje testing the woodworks.

Thank you all for the kitten encouragements as well. Can you believe it, I’m gonna be a daddy? Cigars all around.

Well, the good news is the temperature is down from 95 F + (35 C) to between 68-78 F ( 20 -25 C). The bad news is we have had over 4 1/2 inches of rain in the last several days with maybe an inch more tonight.

Some of the nearby areas are starting to have some flooding, but we are luckily high and dry. We did have water running out of the cornfield this morning down in the back yard. The goats aren’t happy with the rain at all. At least this afternoon they’ve been out on their spools sunning a bit before the next storm.

About 10 miles down the road, my parents had high winds and over 7 inches of rain last night, but nothing damaged/flooded. Northern Iowa hasn’t been as lucky and all their rain will be coming down the Mississippi River by us in a few days. Do goats in boats float?

Debster – 35 C. Gah. I’d melt, melt all away into a little puddle on the floor. Poor goats though, I’m sure they’re wondering why we humans haven’t learned how to control the weather yet. I wonder if I can get spools for the playground, I should like to see the gang on spools.
My immediate guess would be that goats in boats do float, but then I look at Mads’s gut and start to wonder…
