Nine Lives

Today was my turn to feed the animals. Normally that’s a joy and pleasure. But today wasn’t too much fun.

On my way there I started feeling nauseous and dizzy. When I got there I had to spend a good while in the bathroom as mild dhiarrea set in. And as if that wasn’t enough I seemed to pull some muscle in my back or something, it hurt like hell. So I walked around half dizzy/tired and half in pain. Notalotta fun.

The animals are always great, though. So I just took it slow and it wasn’t too bad really.

Now, in the evening, I am feeling better physically. Spent most of the day in my bed or in the comfy chair. And it seemed to have helped my back a bit. Not feeling nauseous or dizzy either. I am, however, feeling a bit like I’m on an emotional rollercoaster. There is news from Desiree, you see. Her mother’s neighbour found a kitten. A little grey kitten with big blue eyes. Luna? I don’t know what to think. It seems so unlikely that she’d turn up when all the kittens disappeared like that. But on the other hand it seems unlikely that another little grey kitten would turn up in the same place. It is a little scary now. I want it to be Luna and I want to have her. It would be foolish to turn down a miracle. But on the other hand I am scared of building up hope and opening up my heart again, to be clichéd. I don’t want to get hurt again. But if it is Luna then I don’t have any choice, I couldn’t say no to her now.

It’s crazy though. Crazy. I don’t know what to think, at all.

I promise we will follow this story closely as it develops. Now back to Lois with the weather.

    I agree… it’s crazy.

But if you are meant to have Luna, it will be Luna. :)

  2. Plume Says:

Stu – My fingers are crossed. It certainly would be a remarkable kitty story.

Remarkable indeed. Strange things can happen.. When I was kid we had a cat named Martin. He was a nice enough cat, fixed and all. But one day he left and we figured something in the woods got him, as often was the case when we lost a cat. Or so we figured. But a couple of years later who showed up at our doorstep? Martin. Back for a stopover along his travels. We didn’t make any efforts to get him in the house to stay, seemed as though he only wanted to pay a visit. So, nothing in the woods got him. I guess he had a sense of adventure and found a more preferable life elsewhere! No harm done. The reason I mentioned he was fixed is because it explains that he couldn’t have been roaming for a mate.

So I don’t know. Was that a useless story?

However it works, Plume, the kitty you eventually get will love and adore you, as you will of it also, and you’ll be pleased as punch. It’s gonna be great!

We’re going to see my dad at the hospital this afternoon and will be going to my mum’s for dinner afterwards, so if Lone, the neighbour, is home, I shall go have a look at the suspected Luna afterwards – will obviously bring the camara.

  5. Debster Says:

I hope the neighbor has the miracle kitty under lock and key! If it is Luna, how soon could she come to Denmark?

  6. Plume Says:

Corrie – Thank you for the story, Corrie (that almost rhymed). Stories are never useless, unless no one is listening that is. It sounds kinda like a Disney story. Martin didn’t speak, did he? I am looking forward to the kitty love.

Desiree – That sounds good. I’m looking forward to further news. All the best.

Debster – I believe the original plan was first or second week of November. The sooner the better, I says.
