Indian Summer

What a lovely day it is today. I am enjoying my vacation. Sleepless nights and sunshiny days. I think I would handle life much better if it was possible to have vacation one week per month. Three weeks work, one week decompression. I would make a good millionaire. Or hobo. Two sides of the same coin.

I went to the playground today. Was greeted by one of the girls. “Lasse, Lasse!” I love that they know my name, that they want to talk to me. She wanted to know if I still had the prize I had won with Magnethe. And where I kept it. It’s standing right here by my computer, by the way. I haven’t won many gold medals in my life. Not yet, anyway.

Some other girls wanted me to help them with their bunnies. See, there are these two enclosure right next to each other. And they wanted to move the baby bunnies from one to the other. But they were afraid that the bunny that was already in the second enclosure would attack the babies. So my job consisted of picking that bunny up and holding it while they moved the other bunnies. Long story short: I stood and nuzzled a cute little bunny while a couple of girls ran around and tried to catch other little bunnies. Ain’t life grand?

That’s the bunny. I can’t imagine it attacking anyone. Little furball. Hah. It was perfectly still as I held it. Bunnies are cute.

Kids are cute too.

That little boy was driving around. And everytime Black baaahed out loud, he would baah out loud too. It is kind of addictive when sheeps or goats baah. It makes you just want to join the fun. Like a pack of wolves, when one howls the others must join in.

And is there anything better than playing in water on a summer day?

On hot summer days everyone should have a sprinkler, a lake, a puddle or just some water balloons.

Aw look at the horses. It looked like they was smooching.

No one smooched White, but I did pet him.

Everyone was having a good time. I talked to Kurt too. Asked him if they would be closing at any time. But nope, they won’t close for summer. So I can go up there as much as I want. That only makes my vacation the sweeter.

There was a teepee. For some reason it didn’t surprise me much that there was a teepee. And eventually kids started gathering around it.

And some people dressed as indians started dancing around and telling stories.

Looked like good fun. Although Mads seemed puzzled.

“Silly humans”.

The proceedings didn’t hold the goats’ interest for long. They soon figured out that everyone was out on the field, so the club house was empty.

Sneaky goats. You have to keep an eye on them or they’ll be up to no good.

Magnethe kept jumping in with the bunnies too, so I had to help the girls with getting her out. They were afraid Magnethe would trample the lil babies. And of course the more I tried to get Magnethe out of the bunny patch, the more she wanted to get in. They really do have a mind of their own, those goats.

There was a woman who flicked water at Mads to get him to go away from the bunny food. He didn’t like that. Makes sense, they don’t like rain either. But when the woman flicked water at Magnethe there was no reaction. It looked like Magnethe was actually enjoying it. What did I say? On a summer day there’s nothing better than playing with water.

But now I’m off to enjoy my vacation again. I hope the times are treating you well, my friends.
