(Don’t Fear) The Plumer

My belly is full with delicious soup. And so is my fridge.

Perfect timing too. I woke up today with a sore throat. It has been hurting all day. I feel fine apart from that, so I’m not sure if I’m coming down with something, if it’s an infection or just nothing at all. But what better treatment than mama’s wonderful. homemade soup? It’s a beautiful thing.

I thought of another thing I was worried about regarding the Greenland trip. The cold. I used to love the cold, but no more. I saw in the news this morning that now fall has come to Denmark, because of some big rain storms. And I thought to myself I thought “Fall? But it’s so cold. Surely they must mean winter”. I think the temperature is around 12-13 C these days. That used to be perfect for me. But now I’m cold and uncomfortable half the time. If the polar bears don’t get me surely I will freeze to death. Or maybe I’ll get some warm clothes. It’s possible. You never know what may happen.

Yes, I will go and I’m sure I’ll be glad. Once it’s over and I don’t have to worry no more.

Yesterday was my turn to feed the animals at the playground. No incidents occured. I just checked the calendar and I’m not scheduled to feed during the Greenland trip, so that’s good. We’ll be leaving on a Friday and back on the following Tuesday. So it’s not that long a trip, I can survive it. Most likely.

Magnethe and Vanilje doing the bucket dance again. Once they had emptied their buckets I brought them some hay.

And Vanilje decided to lie down in the middle of it. It’s always handy to lie down in your food, that way you just have to stretch your neck a little and you’re eating while at the same time you’re very comfy. I wonder how much soup my mother would have to make if I were to take a bath in it? Hmm.

Miss Sheepy was calm and sweet, as she has been every time I have seen her. She got a bucket all to herself, so no bucket dancing there. But lots of scratches on the head. Several times she were sort of glancing through the hole in the wall in to the chickens and bunnies in the next stall. I hope we can get her some company soon.

That’s all for now. I will go rest. And hope my throat doesn’t get worse. I have books to pick up at the library. And laundry machines reserved for Tuesday. And soup to eat for days, hooray.
