You And Whose Sugar?
I come bearing pictures. From yesterday’s stop at the playground.
Did I mention that I brought carrots for the goats?
The buck has learnt that when Plume comes around then there is a chance for treats. So he was quick up to the fence. And anjoyed his carrots.
As far as I know he still doesn’t have a name. I have been thinking that with that boxer’s nose of his maybe a boxer name? I don’t know a whole lot of boxers though. Sugar Ray Leonard, is that one? But sugar is bad of course. The only one I can come up with is Tyson. He’s a big, strong goat so that would fit quite nicely wouldn’t it? Although he’s also very mild and sweet and would never bite your ear off.
Magnethe wanted carrot too. I love when goats try to squeeze their big heads through small spaces like that. Their nose will poke through and move back and forth. And then it is withdrawn as they realize they can’t go through. And then a second later they will try again. Especially if there are treats to be had.
And Magnethe had her carrots.
Vanilje got carrots too. But she’s still lowest on the pecking order, so the others keep chasing her away. But then she just has the hay to herself in the back.
Good goats.
My mailbox has been good to me the last two days as well. There was a sweet card from Renae. She has a lovely family. And even though she’s from Australia she is a fan of Brøndby. Which by default means she’s awesome. Also, it just occured to me today that her last name would be a great name for a megacompany in a William Gibson cyperpunk novel. I’m not sure if I’m allowed to say her name so I won’t. Although I almost just did. How cryptic!
Also a card from Selina Enriquez. She is a model. Literally. But not only is she gorgeous she is also extremely cool. She likes geeky things. And she recently made a website called stop spild af mad which means “stop the waste of food”. It’s been doing very well, she’s been getting lots of national press. Radio, papers, TV. It’s very cool. How often do you meet a model who likes geeky things and illustrations and saving the world?
And finally a card and a really nice letter from the Debster and her husband. Thank you very much guys. Deb is one of my favourite people in the world I must say. Before the diabetes thing started I was occasionally thinking that I had nothing left to write about, I considered shutting down the blog. But then I’d think of the Debster commenting on pretty much every single entry and liking the goats so much. And it gave me reason to keep writing. Maybe that’s silly, I don’t know. But you have meant a lot to me, Debbie. And now of course there’s plenty to write about again. Never a dull moment.
So those are some of my favourite people. There are plenty others of course. And if you want to be mentioned in the blog then card me up! I do appreciate you one and all, though. No doubt.
I’m going to leave a christmas card at the playground tomorrow. I still have 3-4 cards left I think, so if there are any last minute takers just get in touch as well.
And to all a good night.
Exercise biked: 26km.

Of course you need to continue to write. That’s what writers do . . . they write all the time whether there’s something dramatic that happened or just the ordinary everyday stuff.
When we go to work on the back roads, we look for pheasants and red-tailed hawks, and Black Velvet the black pygmy goat. We look for deer and turkey and I saw a robin and a red-headed woodpecker today.
We check out the sheep and the cows that we pass by. I like reading about the goats, Nina, the sheepies, and the big gray bunnies at the playground.
Since I can’t be at the playground, reading about it and seeing pictures is the next best thing. Plus I like to see what Denmark is like and how people are the same and how they’re different.

Debster – I’ll keep writing. Dontchu worry. I’m happy that I have people to share things with. Be it serious like diabetes or fluffy like Nina today. Thanks for being there.

Romeo would be a good name for Mr. Buck.
