I will be honest, I am not feeling that great. The eyesight is still getting me down. Yesterday I succumbed to a sleepattack. Silly, since the day started quite good. Well, apart from the tiredness and headache. But I took aspirins and enjoyed a new, oustanding Lost episode. And fantastic new Futurama feature. Things that should make a geek like me ecstatic. And yet I ended up sleeping the rest of the day away. But who cares? Not me. Wonderful sleep. if I could I would do it every day. But you can only sleep so much. Too bad. I can think of no downsides to sleeping the days away.
Today I was slightly more productive. I went and got a long overdue haircut. So that was good. It was a spontaneous thing, I didn’t have an appointment. So I had to wait for 30 minutes or so. I have mentioned how the decreased sensitivity in my legs cause them to go all stiff at times, right? Well, I sat for the entire waiting time with one leg across the other. And when I stood up that leg was stiff as a board and I couldn’t stand on it. My right leg. I must have looked right silly. At least I didn’t fall over. But I did sort of stumble forward. Onw step forward and then one back. A couple of times. The hairdresser thought I had cramps or pulled a muscle or something. I went with cramps. Close enough. And now my hair is cut. So it’s exactly like it was before only a little shorter and slightly less messy.
Afterwards I went to the playground. A five minute walk away. There I had a jolly good time with the goat boys. They are like little puppies now, they are. I almost expect them to start barking and wagging their tails. They DO wag their tails. Especially when drinking from mama. They are my primary source of happiness at the moment, and I sure do need that.
No pictures today, they turned out fairly uninteresting (not that that has stopped me from posting pics in the past!) and my vision makes it not funny to process them. So instead a video from a couple of days ago: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1n6v51Bj5cs. With falling snow. And baahing lambs. Honking goose. Clucking chickens taking shelter in the horses’ stables. And cute, little goat puppies. You can see Vanilje’s trick when she doesn’t want them to drink. She lifts up her hind legs in a sort of half jump. Leaving the boys standing there rather confused thinking “where did the udder go?!”. I still can’t quite figure out what Vanilje’s deal is. Half the time she lets them drink and half the time she jumps away like that or even pushes them away. Maybe she is trying to wean them. Maybe she’s not producing as much milk anymore so she’s rationing it? I don’t know. But they are getting enough and eating solids too, including much bread from uncle Plume. They are happy and healthy goat boys and that’s a big relief after what happened to Vanilje’s first kid. These have turned out wonderfully.
And that’s all for now. Hope ya all are doing okay out there.

ASK PLUME AND DEBSTER: The Web’s Best In All Things Personal!
Luis: I have been experiencing boils on my buttocks, thighs, underarms for the past year. The breakouts occur approximately a week before my menstrual period. Is there any treatment besides oral and topical antibiotics, which I have tried?
Plume & Debster: Boils can be the result of a physical condition such as diabetes, acne, or severe dermatitis. They can also result from low immunity, irritations or poor hygiene. If you have been experiencing boils for over a year then you should visit your dermatologist to see if there is an underlying disorder.
There is only one major alternative way for treating a boil. That is to apply a hot compress to the area for 30 minutes every few hours. It should burst and drain on its own. After it does burst, you should keep the area clean with an antiseptic soap and try to avoid contaminating other areas of the skin with the drained matter. You should never try to squeeze or lance the boil yourself because you could spread the infection and make it worse. If this does not work then you can have your doctor surgically drain them and prescribe antibiotics.
HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY, GUYS!!
