Plume Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest

Just so it is not all doom and gloom, here is a video of the goat boys: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7V8kU3I8fg. And me. I’m there too. They are jumping all over my back. I think it is rather amusing. Look at them go.
I don’t think you can tell in the video, but the goats have had their living space enlarged. They share the place with the sheep and the bunnies and chickens. They each have their own compartment, separated by wooden boards. These boards can be moved around so the compartments can be changed, according to who needs the most space. I’m sure the goats need the extra space because Magnethe will be adding to the flock soon. It’ll be fun to see Vanilje’s older boys react to the newcomers. The goat circus never ends.
In other news, my heating bill has gone up. Double up. It’s no mistake, though. I’m just heating up the place more. I have been saying that I am less tolerant of the cold because I have lost weight. And I’m sure that’s partly true. But I now realize that the loss of bloodflow due to the diabetes is the reason that my feet get cold so easily. Less blood to the extremities. There was a time when I would sleep with the window open even when it was freezing outside. I just can’t do that anymore. The colder it is the more my feet jigger. So instead of turning off the heat or turning it down I sometimes have to actually turn it up during the night.
It’s not alarming though. It might be double up, but I used to pay very little for heat. So it’s not outrageous. And I can certainly afford it. I get more money then I can spend. I’m glad I don’t have to worry about that stuff. I can afford my medication, I can afford to buy a high-contrast keyboard, I can afford to turn the heat up. And other new developments that I will write about tomorrow probably.
No more today.

Those goatzies are surfing on you, Plume! I don’t know how you stand that. Those little hooves are sharp. Just a good thing Vanilje and Magnethe don’t think they can still “surf the Plume”.
My husband wants to know if you need a good chiropractic treatment after the “goat surfing” takes place?
We are having a major winter event here. Had some rain, some sleet, some big wet snow, more sleet, and who knows what else is on the way. Maybe 4 to 8 inches of snow. Then it warms up and will all melt the next day.
More soggy, mushy ground to wade through out to the goat barn. No one wanted out for walkies tonight.
I think I’m coming down with a cold. My last cold in December lasted about 5 weeks. Drat! Drat! Drat!

Debster – It was too much fun to tell them to stop! Hehe. Their hooves weren’t too bad. But they’re heavy! Somtimes they’d end up standing on some of my hair and it would get pulled. But all in all it wasn’t that bad. I don’t think I’d survive Magnethe doing it though!
I think the goat surfing is the best hiropractic treatment I could get!
