There was a hailstorm today. A btief one. Five-ten minutes. The skies opened and it hailed like I have rarely seen it hail. I couldn’t figure out what it was at first, because it’s springtime you know, and it had been a nice and sunny day for the most part. Suddenly I heard stuff banging against my windows. At first I actually thought the kids outside were throwing pebble at my window or something. But it just kept going.

It has stopped now. But there is still the occasional roar of thunder in the distance. Maybe it’s raining outside. When I went shopping earlier today in the sunshine I actually thought to myself that it would be nice if we could get some rain and I could take a walk in it. The hailstorm was a little too heavy for walkies, though.

Other than that there is nothing new. I am waiting to hear from the hospital. About my “urgent” appointment. My dad called them on Friday to ask if anything was happening. They said I’d get a letter one of the next days. Let’s hope my eyesight doesn’t completely disappear while we wait for the urgent appointment. It’s getting harder and harder to read the computer screen. I keep saying that, but I keep managing anyway. I am afraid that one of these days I will no longer be able to manage. But I guess as long as I can stumble through the words letter by letter then I’ll keep doing it. What am I without a computer? It’s hard to imagine having to live a life without using computers. What was it they said in the dinosaur movies? Life will find a way.

I have had computers forever. I think one of my earliest memories must be driving late at night with my dad to go pick up a used Commodore 64 we found in the paper. That was back when we still had a car. One of the first games I ever played was park Patrol. That theme brings back memories. That was one of the cassettes that came with the C64. I remember that game so well because it was one of my mother’s favourites of the bunch. And it always annoyed me so much because I wanted the computer to myself! No fair that I had a mother and brother who wanted to use it too. Those were the days.

In other entertainment news, yesterday I watched a recent episode of Craig Ferguson where he had a couple of Danes in his audience. Which resulted in quotes about Denmark like these:

“I’m very popular in .. Dan..ish”
“That was a big hit in Dan..ish..land”
“Hello people from Dane..marks”.
“it’s kinda like Narnia or something”

I love that Scttush Conan-guy.

And that’s all for now.

Hail storm! I don’t like hail. I’ve been in a car when it has hailed and also in a schoolbus (when I was a kid). Neither one is a good place to be as the hail sounds really loud when it hits the metal.

We haven’t had to rescue any more baby birds. Although we did find a mouse and babies in the car glove box! Yuck. The babies were removed and the mother mouse is still in the car with a mouse trap baited with peanut butter.

I have to drive the car today (with the mouse still in it) as we haven’t caught it yet!

I just e-mailed you some pictures my uncle sent to me. Some I’ve seen before, but some I haven’t. I don’t usually forward stuff, but thought you’d like these.

I like the leaping lambie! Cute animal pictures to brighten your day.

Debster – I hope you have made friends with the mouse by now! Or alternatively caught it. Just be careful the goats don’t get a whiff of the peanut butter, you’ll end up catching goats instead of mice.
Thank you for the pictures, there were some beautiful shots in there.
