And If London Burns
I dusted off my camera today. I haven’t used it in 6-8 months, or something like that. I wanted to check if it still worked. And it did. And I could operate it somewhat. It would probably be hard to use it properly outside, in natural light. But maybe there is some hope of new goat videos or pictures. I know you all miss seeing Magnethe and Vanilje. I am sure. I can’t imagine otherwise.
But I did made a little test video of myself, and here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=718NmmUJxp8
My usual unattractive self. Playing the guitar. Okay, to be completely honest most of the guitar playing isn’t me. You’d never have guessed, I know. But there you go. I’m not sure I’ve shown myself without glasses before? It’ll be strange to have to wear them again, when the oil comes out later on. In spring, most likely. I have gotten used to not having to fiddle around with them, not have to put them on in the morning and take them off in the evening. Maybe I’ll try contacts when the time comes. Or maybe there will be no point by then. We’ll see.
I had pancakes today. That ain’t bad.

I just saw your youtube vid and it’s wonderful! I’m sorry I haven’t been responding, but I have been reading. So don’t think I’ve forgotten my bro’. And yes, I do miss seeing the “girls” on the farm. I hope you’ll be able to vid tape them one day. I’m glad you’re doing better–the youtube vid shows it! I must mail to you soon postcards of Hawaii. My sister and her husband vacationed there and I asked them to get me some postcards for my friend, Plume. I hope to mail them this week. Mmm…I love pancakes, too!

LuisLemmings – Ah, Luis, I was starting to wonder if you were still around. I am glad you are. And I’ll look forward to postcards. I could use a vacation in Hawaii. Or just some warmer weather, yesplease.

Hay, hay! It’s LuisLemmings. How have you been? Long time no hear.
Plume: what is the song in your video? It’s very nice. If you had moved your left hand on the guitar frets, we’d have been convinced it was “you” on the guitar.
Do you take requests?

Pancakes – my kids and husband would eat them every day if they were allowed!
I’m so glad you made it to the playground. The snow is perfect this year, but such a burden for those with reduced mobility. But it will be gone soon enough, and then we have 10 months of grey rain and not really summer days. ;) Denmark is total win-win, eh! ;)
My mum’s going to Greenland in February on a holiday with her sister and brother-in-law. They’re going for a week on one of those arranged tours with dog sleighing on the ice, reindeer spotting and all that jazz. Sounds fantastic and I really hope I too will have the opportunity to go up there some day.
Good news about the eye pressure. I’m hoping this means the condition is indeed settling and you’ll know soon what you’ve lost and what you have gained.
I’ve done my 1st Aid Course, passed my medical and shall be starting Teori on Tuesday. Pyyyyyyyyyyyyyh, Plume! I’m TERRIFIED! Here’s hoping the snow will be gone before I start driving! ;)
Hugs.

debster – The song is “The Balcony” by my new favourite Danish band The Rumour Said Fire. Well, they have only released 6 songs I think, so perhaps that’s a bit premature. But I do love that song a lot. They just won a big prize for most talented band on the radio in 2009, so I hope to hear much more of them soon.
If your request is “PLEASE NO MORE STOP STOP STOP” then I will take it
desiree – Mmm pancakes. If I could have soup every other day and pancakes every other then I’d be a happy Plume. Probably not a very healthy one though.
Trust me, when summer comes I’ll start complaining about how the sunshine ruins my eyesight. But at least by then I should hopefully have filter glasses to help.
I’m sure your mother et al will enjoy Greenland. It sounds somewhat like the trip I missed out on. I can’t believe I was relieved not to have to go back then. If only I could have changed things… just the other day my dad suggested he still might take me to Greenland some day, but I’m not so sure. I guess we’ll see how everything goes.
I’m sure you will kick teori ass. You always do wonders

What is “Teori”?
I think you need to take requests, Plume. Can you do “Here Comes The Sun” by the Beatles?
January 20th, 2010 at 19:08
Quite surreal ending ..
January 20th, 2010 at 19:20
Debster – Teori is almost the same. Theory. Is there a better word for it, Desiree?
I’m afraid I don’t know that song there. The Beatles of whom you speak, are they some local band? I’m sure they’ll make it big some day.
Ann T Krist – I’m going to take that as a compliment.

So is Desiree taking a driving course?
I will sing you a few bars: “Here comes the sun, dunt’un’duh’duh; here comes the sun, dunt’un’duh’duh; here comes the sun, little darling…..it’s alright…
Yes, I think you’re quite right about the Beatles making it big someday. If only more people listened to them. Paul is the cutest one, but John has the songwriting talent.

Yes, she is, Debster – taking a driving course, getting the license she never got back when the Beatles… no, wait – I’m not THAT old. But I’m looong overdue the ability to drive a car! ;)
