The Will Of Goats
I got some excellent news at the playground yesterday.
I arrived early and was inside with the goats when Sigrid came in and asked if we should take them out. I helped her drag Magnethe along. Now that the goats live next to the fodderboxes, Magnethe really isn’t keen on going outside…
But I got to talk a little bit with Sigrid, which was nice. She seemed happy for me when I told her that my eyes were a little better. And then she told me the good news. We will be keeping a goat kid this year. Yes, Grethe will be staying at the playground. I am very happy about that. After having to say goodbye to so many goat kids over the years. I will have to say goodbye to Hans too at some point. It’s still the plan that Kurt will buy him. But I know he’ll be happy at Kurt’s, and at least there might be a chance of seeing him again in the future. I hope I can get to see Vanilje’s kid too, some day. It’s been a while since Kurt has been at the playground, so I haven’t been able to get any updates on the kid. Sigrid said she was thinking of going to see Kurt, so maybe there will be some news soon. But in any case, I will get to see Grethe grow up and become a big, stubborn goat just like her mama. Very good news indeed.
Is it me or is Grethe starting to look at little like Magnethe, in the facial department? It’s hard for me to really see it of course. But I think so. Her face is maturing, getting bigger and longer. And the brown colour. With black markings at the eyes. Of course she has a white spot that Magnethe doesn’t have, but still. There’s some resemblance, isn’t there?
Maybe you can check on this video: youtube.com/watch?v=TxpqxUys4ms. Sigrid and I dragging Magnethe. Later on she actually pulled the leash out of the ground and ran back to the fodderboxes. I dragged her back all on my own, proof that my eyesight is a little better. I couldn’t have done that a month’s time ago I think. But today I can walk around without a cane and I can drag stubborn goats. That’s something.
And that’s all for now.

Your life seems very empty, one step away from the kind of guys from the tv-special Guys and Dolls http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-7277801797935788405#

Wow – But animals are way better than dolls, so it’s okay.
