That’s Amore

Today is my mother’s birthday. Happy birthday mum.

I went over to the parental house for dinner. My leg is almost back to normal. And my back is doing okay. I walked all the way to my parents’, and back, with almost no pain. A couple of weeks ago, before I started the back exercises, I definitely would not have been able to do that. So that’s jolly good.

I could also see the vegetables and meat fairly well during dinner. Makes eating easier. And I could see the Tour de France reasonably well on the telly from far away. So all in all that was a positive trip. It’s the little improvements that count. For now. Also, mmmm birthday cake. I wish it was my birthday every day of the year so I could justify eating cake. Because we all know that diabetes does not strike on birthdays.

I had a carpenter visiting today. Had a little problem with one of my window/doors. So he came around to have a look. Didn’t take long to fix it. He saw my computer and asked if I played games. I didn’t even think about it, I just said “yes”. Force of habit. And then I had to say that actually, I kind of didn’t. Not anymore. Because of my eyesight. He noticed my big, high-contrast keyobard as well. He was quite friendly and talkative.

Just like me!

Happy Birthday and best wishes to your Mom on her special day!

You are quite the chatter box, you know you are!

I filled up the hummingbird feeder and there were 8 ruby-throated hummingbirds who came down to drink! They are sure fun to watch. I don’t think you have hummers in Denmark.

I’m tired of all the rain. It was partly sunny today. We don’t see the sun much anymore. We are afraid of that big “light” in the sky on those days it doesn’t rain. hee, hee

The goats are tired of the rain as well. They do enjoy a nice sun-bathing day occasionally. They all went on walkies tonight and much green grass was consumed.

The hummingbirds continue to entertain us daily. I wish I could send you a couple of them. They have such “big” personalities for such a little bitty bird.

Hello, hello! Is anybody out there? I’m lonely.

I saw four precious baby goatzies today. They are big enough to just have tiny little horns popping out. I stopped in to see the baby longhorn calf, but couldn’t find it or its mom. I’ll have to stop in another time, I guess.

(I hope the calf wasn’t born with its “longhorns”. Ouch!)

Debster – I am still out here! Just not a lot of stuff going on. The writing mood alludes me. I remember the good old days when I used to update every single day, even if I hd nothing to write about. Oh yes. There doesn’t seem to be much point to that these days though. I don’t think very many people still read my blog. You aren’t on Facebook by any chance Deb? I write there every day. Only short, boring and annoying things. So in other words, it’s probably best if you’re not on facebook.
I love me some baby goatzies though. Sounds adorable.
I have painters coming next week. It wouldn’t happen to be you would it? They’re painted the apartment blocks. It’ll take a week. I have to let them in so they can get out on the balcony. I’m not too pleased with having strangers come and go for a week. I know the actualy time they will spend on my little apartment is tiny, but I’ll be on guard all day I bet. Oh well. Painters are people too, right??

    PunK – Thanks dude.
