All Allergies

Got the answers back from my allergy test today and… nothing. Zip. Nada. No allergens could be detected. Or something to that effect. So that’s… surprising. And annoying. Why then do I have the symptoms and why do anti-histamines help? Oh boy. I guess I will need to talk to the doctor again. At least to find out if I can just go on taking anti-histamines. Maybe I’ll need one of those prick-tests. Bah humbug. I’m tired of doctors and needles.

Meanwhile, I think I may buy a new computer. I had been figuring that I’d buy a nice, new one at the end of the year. At least wait a little. Save up some more money. But now looking at computer deals at the place where I have bought my previous PCs, I’m getting all excited about it. And I have the money. So I think I will get one now. Maybe this week or the next. A new supercomputer with Windows 7 64bit so I can take advantage of ENORMOUS MEMORY. Oh yes. New toys are always fun.

Speaking of fun, here are a couple of goat videos that I haven’t blogged yet:

On The Spring. Starting off with Bodil and Sif. And one of Bodil’s friends, Kirsten. We bumped into each other and Sif got all excited, running back and forth between me and Kirsten. You can see a little of that in the video. Meanwhile, Magnethe and Snow White are tied down and their boys are running around enjoying the freedom. I followed them up into the residential block above the playground. Brave little goats are out partying without their parents!

In Circles. The goat boys again running around without paternal supervision. I take a round trip with them. Ending up back at the mamas. Bandit got left behind in the middle of the trip and he was not shy about expressing his feelings about that. A couple of the boys also managed to find their way into the horse pen. While the horses were still there. They didn’t stay in there for long.

Sad Bandit. Little Bandit with the big voice. He seemed a bit unhappy today. Mostly he only complains when the other boys leave him behind or when mama is too far away. But today he just seemed to feel like doing some general complaining. He does a sweet voice.

And of course there’s the Goat music video, in case you missed it.

Lots of goats for the price of none.

I love that song “All Allergies” by that one band. They rock.
Glad to hear you don’t have allergies after all. They suck. I got the prick test. Turns out I’m not gay. I think that’s what the test is for. Anyway I never went back for the second one.

Bill Kennedy – Oh Bill you big nut! I wouldn’t actually mind having allergies, at least I would just like to know.. instead of not know. We’ll see how it goes.

Mmmm….maybe it means you’re allergic to something they didn’t test you for. In the US, they test you for standard things like grasses, mold/mildew, dust mites, cockroaches, ragweed, and cats/dogs, etc. A majority of people who have allergies will test positive to one or more of these common things.

Do you know what they tested you for? I think you’ll get a print-out of what they tested you for and any or no reaction. I don’t think Great Britain has ragweed, so a person there wouldn’t be tested for it. Ragweed is huge in our area and I’m allergic to Giant Ragweed, Medium Ragweed, and little Ragweed! hee, hee

Tree pollen is a big one for allergic reactions here as well. But I suppose it depends on your country as to what trees are available to be tested for.

Follow-up with your doctor so you know what they tested you for and what he recommend for you to do. Maybe something like Allegra or Zirtec or another of the OTC meds would work for you.

Are you getting any of the volcanic ash stuff from the Iceland volcano? Or maybe reddish-colored sunsets? Didn’t know what countries were affected except that Pres. Obama had to leave Ireland early one day to fly to London because of the ash cloud.

  4. Plume Says:

Debster – Yeah I don’t know.. But I’ll have to talk to the doc again. We’ll see what happens.
I haven’t seen any ash around here. But you never know. Good thing I’m not planning on flying anywhere! And good thing we don’t have volcanoes in Denmark. I wouldn’t like living on one of those things..
