Vacating

The playground has been closed for vacation this week. Not that that’s been much different from how it’s been lately. Alice’s son Mads (I think, I’m so bad with names. Face blindness makes it really hard to remember people) came and let the goats out in the mornings. So I got some good time with them anyway. And Mads seemed really nice and friendly. A couple of nice days with sun. And one with rain. Looks like next week will be mostly rain. I don’t mind the rain really. It’s the temperatures that bother me. I can haz summer plz?

On Tuesday I went with my dad to the hospital to see my mother. I’m not a fan of going out to new places with new people and talking and all that. But I thought it would be the right thing to do. And she seemed happy that I came. We met her out in the hall, walking around. So that’s good. She’s getting better. She might come back home in the beginning of next week. With a little luck. Although she’ll have to be on sick leave for a month, my dad told me. For her legs to heal up. Yeah, it’s been a bad infection. Wishing her a speedy recovery.

Other than that there’s nothing new I think. Let’s go photo.

Kamel enjoying the sun and an apple from the Appleman.

Mia gets an apple too.

And her chin scratched.

My little buddy.

And this is the apartment block I live in. Represent.

Three shots from a rainy autumn day:

My strange addiction:

I may have a problem…

And a goatlog from the week. Mainly a visit from the Appleman. Plus other funstuffs.

And that’s all for this week. See you in the next one, folks.

You autumn colors and rain pictures look like they could have been taken here. We’re finally getting a few nice colors. It was so dry this summer, lots of leaves are just turning brown. We’ve got mauves, golds, and muted yellows this year.

Everyone likes apples! Our boys and Snickers love apples. Billy likes for us to hold his apple and turn it so he can eat all sides of it. Snickers is really nice when you give her an apple. And John Boy likes his apples as well.

Good to hear your Mom is getting better. Hope she’s able to come home soon. That was nice of you to visit her in the hospital. I’m sure she was really happy to see you as she knows just how hard it is for you to do out-of-the-ordinary things.

I planted some tulips and daffodils this week. We’ll have to see how they come up next spring. I also bought a bird bath heater so we can keep the water available for the wild birds this winter.

I’ve been having bluebirds come up to bathe and drink water this summer. The goldfinches come up to drink and eat the thistle seed I put out for them, too. And the juncos are back. A sure sign of approaching winter.

Your red tomatoes on the white plate is an eye-catching photo. Now I want some tomatoes! I’m making beef and noodles tonight for supper and I have some homemade applesauce from my sister to go with it. Yummy!

I do love the colours. Like someone swung a paintbrush over the world to brighten it up a bit.
My mom is back home now, and seems to be doing well. Now she just has to wait for her legs to heal up. Hopefully that’ll be the last of that.
You have so many birds, and we have none at all now! Well, I guess we still have birds around. Just not the ones in the bird cage. There was a little girl the other day who asked about the bird cages and asked where the birds were. I said they were gone unfortunately. She asked if they had died. I said no no, they’ve just flown away. I hope they’ve done alright whever they went.
