Two Nights Before Christmas

Cold. Dark. Grey. Rainy. Just some of the words that could be used to describe this week! The goats have not been particularly keen to go outside. And me neither. But I have had good times with them anyway. Spent some time keeping warm by lugging wood around to build even more onto the staircase. It gives me great pleasure to see especially Palle jumping around on it.

I added a pallet to the mix. There were a couple of wooden pallets lying around in the parking space. I asked Sigrid if they had any plans for them. She told me I could put them in the goat pen if I wanted. So I went and grabbed one. It was a lot heavier than I had imagined, though. Haha. Had to drag it along like it was a giant boulder and I was dragging it up a hill. But it’s a nice addition to the fun park. Even got Kamel to get up on it. She normally stays on the ground, at least with her hind legs. Gravity is hard when you’re heavy! It’s just nice to be able to bring some things in for them to play around with and step on.

Otherwise, not much to report. Had a call from Bodil. She wanted to make sure that we saw each other before christmas so we could say our merries face to face. I’m kinda looking forward to christmas. I’m sure it’ll pass!

Let’s go to the pictures.

My Mia.

Palle with that wonderful, wonderful face. He always looks like you just told him the most alarming thing. “We’re out… of … RAISINS?!!”

Kamel wasn’t too interested in coming out in the light downpour. Maybe she was just waiting for Mio to be at a safer distance.

Palle popped his head up as I was taking a picture of Kamel.

Mio having a closer look at the camera.

Mio on the pallet.

Mia and Kamel inside.

Palle in the wheelbarrow. A shipment of goats just in time for christmas.

And a goatlog. Bleatings and headbuttings and goats not wanting to come out in the rain and climbings on the staircase and pallet. Good times.

And that’s all for this week, folks. See you in the next one. Hope you have a very merry holiday season!

Merry, Merry Christmas to you, my dear danish goat boy! Give all the goats a scratch and a cuddle from us.

It’s cold and snowy here. Definitely a white Christmas in our area. At least the sun is shining today on Monday.

Merry christmas, Debbie. And to Sam and the rest of the flock! No snow here. Dark and stormy christmas eve. But I’ve had a nice time with the family, and the goats got some festive treats as well!

Do you watch Donald Duck on Christmas eve? We had a nice Christmas eve with my parents and my sister and her husband. We had a spiral ham with pineapple, assorted cheeses, veggy tray with carrots, tomatoes, pickles, etc., wheat buns for sandwiches, baked beans, pea salad, cranberry sauce, Christmas cookies, candy, and cake. Yummy! What did you have to eat at your celebration?

we ahve the traditional Disney christmas show every year. I don’t usuall watch the whole thing, though. This year we didn’t have the telly on at all, so I had to look it up on youtube just to get a littel glimpse. Tradition!
Sounds like a delicious christmas! We had our traditional roast. My first time eating meat in 6 months. With potatoes and gravy. Plus sweet potatoes, I guess they’re called. I don’t like those, though. And risalamande for dessert. And some assorted cookie things and such.
    Merry christmas!
