Fall On Meeh
It’s been a cold week. Winter is around the corner. I miss the warmth. I managed to not really dress warmly enough this week, which makes sitting around with the goats for hours rather uncomfortable. As the cold slowly creeps in through the sleeves.
But I still have fun with them of course. Had Palle and Mia out of the pen a couple of mornings. There isn’t that much green left for them to eat, but it’s still nice seeing them run around. And Bruce and Clark have had some fun playtimes out of the pen too. I love seeing them run back and forth and enjoy themselves. It’s still a big, new world to them.
…aaand that’s about all that’s happened this week. Quiet times. I don’t mind. AND I got to sleep an hour extra this morning. Saved by the daylight time.
Go go goat photos.
First another memeish thing.
If a smile is an umbrella then Mia certainly provides me plenty of cover from the rain.
“The hay? No, I didn’t eat your hay. What do you mean? I have something on my face? I’m sure you’re mistaken!”
Bruce and Clark. Growing boys.
Looks like Kamel had her hooves in the hay jar too.
I accidentally had my camera set to creative mode. I guess that’s how art happens.
Good old Kamel. I’m trying to take extra good care of her. She’s not as young and forceful as the others. Gotta make sure she gets her share of everything.
And a goatlog. With goats out of the pen. Lots of fun ensues. Especially the twins frolicking is lovely to watch. They have some dramatic battles on the bench too.
And that’s all for this boat, folks. Sink you in the next one.

Billy likes to use his horns to shovel up grass and leaves. Then when he raises his head, he sometimes has weeds, grass, and dirt stuck on his horns. He usually seems pretty pleased with himself when he does that.
I’m sure I had a comment on your previous blog about Sille being so old. But I don’t see it now. I had looked at some of your old pictures with Mads and Magnethe. Mads was sure one good-looking boy. I sure miss them and our Frankie.
I think our donkey Snickers will probably outlive all of us, too. Seems like horses and donkeys can live a long, long life.
It has gotten much cooler here, too. I think the weather man is calling for frost tonight. We haven’t had the hard frost just yet, but should be coming soon.
We don’t “fall” back for daylight saving time till next weekend. It will be soooo dark when we get home from work to feed the animals.
Maxwell, the visitor cat has still been coming in to eat dinner with Gracie. Mama Calico was absent this evening and she never misses a meal – hers and the other cats.
The farmers are taking out the corn and beans in the nearby fields, so hope she wasn’t scared by the combine and run off in the wrong direction. Silly cat.
They have been out mousing in the fields as one of them left us a big, juicy mouse (dead) on the sidewalk outside the back door. Never know what they will bring up for us. I don’t know if they are trying to teach us how to hunt our own mousies or what?

Okay, now your blog is making me a liar! Our DST ends THIS weekend. We have to set our clocks back tonight on Nov 1st. Boy, am I confused. I must need some goat therapy treatments! Hee, hee!

Sorry about the lost comment! I have had a spam problem and your comment probably got caught by the filter. I’ll keep an eye on it so your comments don’t get caught!
Always bittersweet to look at pictures of our old friends. Sure do miss them too. It’s always tough having to say goodbye, for whatever reason it is. But all the more reason to enjoy the time we have now.
Hope you have adjusted to the new time now! Since I have a lot of American friends on Facebook I feel like I should be allowed to set my clock back a second hour. Anything for more time in bed!
Hope Mama Calico will turn up safely as well. Maybe she’s out gathering more mice.
Winter is coming! Brrrr.

Mama Calico showed up the next night! She wouldn’t say where she had been. Silly kitty.
