Time Passes
A week later.
It’s been a tough week. Especially the first few days after Kamel’s death. Unfortunately I’ve been through it before. At least I know how to more or less handle it. A few days of numb apathy locked up at home. And then slowly back to the real world. So it goes.
It’s been good to get back to the other goats. Walking around with them. Lots of fresh, green grass to eat now. We’re out of hay, so I’m trying to give them the chance to fill up on the green stuff instead.
I keep expecting to see Kamel bringing up the rear when I’m walking around with them. I miss her. I miss so many things about her.
There’s a big Kamel sized hole in my heart.
And a goatlog.
And that’s all for this week, folks. See you in the next one.

I think someone is drinking energy drinks! Those goatzies have so much energy or they are highly caffeinated. Run, run, run.
Goat alert: Watch out for that dangerous blue, flapping tarp on the fence. It might get a goat even though it is a long ways away. Palle took off at a fast gallop when he saw and heard the tarp flapping. Goats do not seem to care for flapping plastic or fabric.
Let’s go see those feathered things. You go investigate. No, you go see about them. Let’s all go eat some grass.
Our boys are still interested in hay, but that new green grass sure has them hooked. The donkey would rather eat grass now and eat hay later.
Good to know you are back at the playground again and are taking photos and videos. Seeing hopping and leaping young goats always makes me smile. Thank you!

I love how they run back and forth with no apparent reason or destination. Quick, let’s go there! Quick, let’s go back! They sure don’t like things flapping in the wind. They’re a bit suspicious of our chickens too. Better stick with the human with the treats instead. It’s good to be back with the goats. So much joy. Hopefully it’ll be a good summer now.
