Time After Time
It’s been a pretty good week. It’s good to be back with the goat gang and enjoying time with them. We’ve been spending a lot of time out of the pen. At first it was because we ran out of hay and I was concerned the goats weren’t getting enough to eat. So I kinda felt obligated to take them out so they could fill up on greens. Now we have hay, but it’s just enjoyable walking around with them. It’s nice seeing them roam around freely, while I keep an eye on them. Especially amusing when we get out to the public spaces and people stop to take photos or comment on how surreal it is to see a bunch of goats out and about. The people who come to visit the playground expect to see animals of course. But people who just walk by on the way to the supermarket next doorish, well they aren’t expecting to see goats.
We also had the cops called on us because Mio and Popcorn made it out on the pavement before I managed to shoo them back to the green spots. Someone reported goats loose on the road! Oh noes! The cops called the playground, I don’t think it’s the first time they’ve had reports of wild goats… All is well that ends swell. No problemo
That’s about it. Just taking it slow. There are still a million things that remind me of Kamel. But that’s okay. Time takes time.
Oh yeah, and I almost forgot. Happy birthday to Palle! Two years old. His birthday was Friday. From his surprising entry to the world and all the fun we’ve had. Love you lots, dear Palle. The mightiest of ears and huggiest of hugs. And many more.
And a couple of goatlogs.
And that’s all for this week, folks. See you in the next one.

So, are those fake clouds or what? No one has such pretty blue skies and such snowy white clouds. Well at least not here, anyway!
I can see the headlines now. “Wild Goats Run Rampant in Danish Town” – Danes stay hidden in their houses as a pack of wild goats tap dance their way through the city streets. No lawn or bushes were safe as the goats ate their way block by block throughout the city.
A small child who was eating raisins was pushed to the ground. The child was unhurt, but left crying because all his raisins were eaten. Another citizen said one of the goats stood on his back to get a better vantage point and to find the greenest grass. The man said it was “the darnedest thing”, but he didn’t feel he was in any danger from the goat.
As quickly as they appeared, the goats vanished leaving a trail of trimmed grass and muddy coats and jackets with tiny hoof prints.

Hay, hay! Guess who had some deep blue skies and fluffy, puffy clouds? We had some beautiful “Danish” skies on Monday.
We had just finished our painting job outside at our local bank. I was loading up the back of the truck and I looked up to grab ahold of the topper door. And there it was – a beautiful blue sky and white clouds! I told my husband: “Lasse must have sent that scenic view to me today”.
Thank you! We were tired of rain and wind and needed a sunny day. It was very much appreciated.

Our goatzies have had a manicure, pedicure, and beauty treatment (hair trimmed and combed) and wormed!
Snickers was also wormed and combed. She’s on the list for a hoof manicure and pedicure, too.
The cats have been combed and brushed as well.
Now I need to start in on my husband! Hee, hee – he doesn’t like worming. Just kidding!

Those are real clouds! It was a rather lovely day for it.
We do have quite a problem with goat gangs here! We often have rival gangs doing dance-offs in the streets! Sooner or later the rhythm is gonna get you!
Are you ever tempted to paint a painting on the side of a building? Maybe a lovely scenic cloud landscape on the bank?
Sounds like all your critters are well taken care of! Hope they got some treats too. For being such good boys, and gal.

I have no artistic or drawing ability at all. Which is probably a good thing as the bank building is made of bricks!
