A Fuse Too Far
I’m feeling better. Well, that’s a bit of a stretch. The Paris thing kinda knocked me out for a couple of days. I’m back on my feet from that. Because things have to go on. I do feel like I might be coming down with something now, though. A scratchy throat. Coughing. Hopefully it won’t get worse. I’m feeling alright for now.
The temperature has dropped. Winter is coming,. It’s gone from “getting cold after a couple of hours with the goats” level to “face hurts as soon as I leave the house” level. Brr. And now we have snow too. Or we did. I’m not sure there’s any left by now. My area didn’t get the worst of the snowfall today, so it might be gone tomorrow. I’m not sure. There was no snow on Saturday when I went to see the goats. And today was a laundry day, so I couldn’t get any ‘first snow’ reactions from the gang. I’m not even sure if Peanut has seen snow before. I’d have to go check the old videos. But then he would have seen it today, when the weekend feeders let them out. So it won’t be a complete surprise, even if there’s some left tomorrow.
But it’s going to be more difficult now. Being outside for longer periods. When it’s this cold. Let’s just hope spring comes soon. Only 3+ months. Sigh.
Last weekend I managed to blow the fuses in my apartment. I have been exercising with two space heaters going.- And I wanted to try with a third. It was glorious. Until the fuses blew and I was without power. D’oh. Guess I can’t do that. I didn’t have any spare fuses and I have never actually changed them on my own before. So I had to call dad and he went and bought some new ones and came and changed them. Good thing he’s always happy to help.
Now, here’s goat photos.
And videos.
And that’s all for this week, folks. See you in the next one.

Hi,
We had about an inch of snow Friday night into Saturday. Sure was cold over the weekend. I am so not ready for winter! It warmed up Monday and was sunny, so most all of melted away.
My husband had to have shoulder surgery on Monday. We were able to go home later the same day, too. The doctor was in surgery on him for about 2 hours. Hubby has his right arm in a sling now for the next four weeks. Then physical therapy starts for weeks and weeks.
And he is, of course “right-handed”. He was worried about eating with his left hand, but I told him if he was hungry enough he’d make it work! So far no problems. I mean a goat wouldn’t let a little thing like that keep him from eating hay! Hee, hee.

I’m not ready for winter either! Luckily our snow was brief. I wouldn’t mind if we didn’t get anymore until around December 20th! I hope your husband is doing okay! Big surgery is never fun. Goatspeed the recovery!

Hey Plume, now that we are nearing Christmas I recollected the old Christmas video you made from the 24th evening som years ago, and want to watch it. Does it still exist on youtube or elsewhere? Please pass the link, thanks. Dont say it has been deleted that would be an unacceptable answer.
