Peanut’s Vacation

Some bittersweet news from the playground. Peanut has gone on a little holiday. I found him missing on Thursday. Rather shockingly so. But Dennis soon arrived and explained what was going on. A nearby playground lost a goat and I guess their other goat got depressed and wouldn’t eat. So they have loaned Peanut to give the other goat some company. Peanut certainly is good at livening things up. I’m sad about not having him here now, but I hope he can help the depressed goat. That’s what’s most important. A good deed indeed. I’m told Peanut will be back. Soon hopefully. I don’t have any exact details really. I hope he’s doing well there and that we’ll have him back soon.

Oddly quiet without him. He’s such a big personality, the little guy. Very demanding of attention. But Palle did put a smile on my face with some silly jumping in the snow. He’s just a big baby too.

Speaking of the snow. It’s still there. Not as pure and powdery, though. Lots of ice and dirty snow. And cold. Very cold. But at least the wind hasn’t been too bad. And that helps a lot. It’s still hard for me, though. I’m looking forward to warmer days.

Now I’m tired and somewhat hurty. I think I bruised another rib and my throat has gone all stiff. I need some sleep. So let’s go to the photos.

Posing with the scarf I got from a Facebook friend.

Spot the Peanut.

Brilliant postcards from another Facebook friend.

I live just to the left of here.

And videos.

And that’s all for this week, folks. See you in the next one.

If anyone could cheer up a lonely goat, it would be Peanut. Hope he enjoys his visit and the other goat feels better. I suppose the other playground will be looking for a new permanent goat while Peanut is visiting?

We have some snow now. It started around 4:00 pm and snowed till about 8:00 pm. Maybe a little over an inch, but no wind, so it isn’t blowing around and drifting. I will have all sorts of birds at the feeder and bird sauna in the morning.

Is your Mom still at home and doing ok? Hope she has been feeling better, too.

Mio seems to be wearing her maternity outfit! She certainly is getting big. Must be a couple of young ones in there. Hope she is doing well.

Our snow is starting to disappear. Little by little. My mom is still home yes, and doing okay. I was just home for dinner today to celebrate my brother’s birthday earlier in the week.
