The Snow Also Snows
Oh the weather outside is freezing. But the pizza inside delightful. Let it snow, snow snow. Snow. It has snowen. Cold and pretty. At least the wind died down on Thursday. It’s much easier to be outside in the cold when there’s no wind. And I do enjoy spending time with the goats in the snow. Like a fairy tale wonderland. Someone should write some songs about that.
Yes, the new year is underway. And I’m trying to claw myself back to some sense of normalcy. After a holiday season of laziness and unhealthiness. There’s still some way to go yet, but at least I have started exercising again. I wish I could fastforward a month to when I’ll be back in peak fitness condition and it’ll all be easier. Or a few months to when the sun will be back. Quick, invent a time machine! Or, take your time and then travel back to right now and give it to me. I’ll just be sitting here and waiting.
Otherwise not much that I care to report. We’ll just go to photos. Starting with some shots from a very early, very cold, very dark morning on Monday as I was making my way to an early appointment at the foot therapist. Brrr.
A little bit of blue breaking through.
Not often you see all four goats at the same hayholder. Normally grandma would chase Peanut away!
Palle has a dandruff problem. Or, the first sign of snow.
First christmas tree of the season. Normally they’re super excited about getting trees, but this one wasn’t a huge hit. Maybe too dry.
…And then the full snow force arrives.
I do love the snow, even if it’s frightfully cold.
And videos.
And that’s all for this week, folks. See you in the next one.

Wow! You did get some snow. It has been really cold here today, but no snow. Maybe later in the week though. The ice we had from last week finally melted, hooray. And we have green grass in the yard.
Those first several pictures of the gray clouds are really cool. That’s more like our weather! And here I was under the impression that the happiest place in the world always had blue skies and big, white puffy clouds! Not!
The pictures of the streets, cars, and houses with the snow are so pretty. And Palle catching snowflakes, or perhaps treats, with his tongue – is so cute.
Do people realize how hard it is to catch goats yawning and sticking out their tongues? We are still amused to see our goats yawning because it happens so rarely.
We watched Snickers yawning one evening for 5 or 6 minutes because it was so funny. And it was the kind of cold outside that you didn’t want to be spending any more time out there than needed.

Green grass? What a luxury! If only I could have green grass and blue skies all the time. I think the goats would like that too.
I haven’t seen a goat yawn in a long time! Seems to happen mostly when it’s warm. I love goat yawns.
