A New Year

Just a quick update. Hope everyone is into the new year safely. Tomorrow things return to normal, more or less. Probably a good thing. It’s been an enjoyable break, but predictably I have fallen into bad ways. I need to get back to healthy living and goats. That’s where I belong. Here’s to a good 2016!

And now photos. Starting with a new year wish from Palle and a new cover from the Facebook page. Both pictures in the cover image are from the potographer visit.

A little bit of sunrise on January 1st. Quickly replaced by more grey skies.

And a couple of videos.

And that’s all for this week, folks. See you in the next one.

As someone who is clueless about Facebook – do you have to have a Facebook account in order to read someone elses Facebook entries?

I am asking for a friend, a goat friend. This goat friend doesn’t particulary want to tell the whole world about themselves, as in where they graze, what their name is, when they eat hay, etc.

They aren’t much into having a big on-line presence as they are very private, simple goats.

Are these crazy goats or what?

All my posts on Facebook, both my own and Mia’s page, are public. But I don’t actually know if you need to have a Facebook account to see them. You can try!

I know Bodil feels the same way you, I mean your goat!, does. She doesn’t have a Facebook and she doesn’t really want to deal with everybody on there. It’s possible to make an account and just not write anything and not add any friends. That way you can just read posts. You’d need to give an email address though. In theory you could even use an alias, although strictly speaking that’s against the rules.

I can’t see your Facebook posts at all. I can only see the past several posts on the cutest goat ever page, then it says to sign up or log on facebook.

So you have to use your real name too? The problem with giving an email address is I think Facebook somehow links all your address book contacts, too. Then it wants you to friend all your email contacts on facebook. Not sure if it notifies others that you are on facebook.

I am never quite sure what is public and what is private either. We have business email addresses of clients that we might not particulary want to be made public.

My goat is just too private! She wants to communicate only with a few other goats at a time, not the whole world of goats!

I guess you have to sign up to see more then! You could always make a new, disposable email address just for Facebook. And use an alias. But really, if facebook isn’t your thing then it isn’t your thing! I have enjoyed meeting lots of good people through Mia’s page. But I understand the concerns!

Yes, I’m sure my goat thinks she is soooo much more interesting than she really is! It is not like she has any big secrets either.

I am able to view all your photos and videos on Mia’s cutest goat in Denmark page however. I spent a good hour or so going thru the pictures. You sure have lots of followers and comments on her page. Hooray for Mia and Uncle Plume!

I’m glad you were able to see the posts on the page! Fun times!
