Collar Me Baaad
Nothing much this week. Some rain and some sunshine and goat times and exercise. And we keep on keeping on. The world keeps turning.
We got a new collar for Mia. That should make it a little easier for me to keep the gang under control. Now that grandma isn’t the leader anymore it’s not really enough to just have her on a leash. Luckily Mia doesn’t mind. Unlike Peanut, who was always testing the leash. Mia just gets with the grazing. And I make sure to walk them around, so that’s not too bad. Maybe I’ll be able to keep them out of trouble now.

It has been hot and very dry here. Goatzies and donkey spend most of their time in the shade with some cool water breaks.
We have been painting outside and it has been hot. We have had actual temps of 93 to 97 F with heat indexes from 100 – 103 F. A couple of days we only worked till 2:00 pm it was so hot. Sure takes it out of a person.
We went to the store today after work and bought 8 gallons of water, 4 kinds of Gatorade, and some diet Coke and diet 7 UP. We also have tea in bottles we take to work, too. We did buy food, but it seemed like we had lots of liquids!
We need some rain for the corn and soybean crops for the farmers in the area. Our landlord said we had 13 inches of rain last year in June. This June, so far, has seen 1/10 of an inch of rain.
How’s the weather been there? Seems like you have pictures of slightly wet goatzies, so you must be having some rain.
