A Little Snowie

Good goat times today. There was a cold wind on my walk along the highway, but it settled down later on and it was a pretty mild day with even some sunshine now and then. Took the goaties out to the grasslands. Did that thing with Mio where I rush after her with the leash and she casually speeds up just enough to stay ahead of me but not so much that it looks like she’s running. I did manage to catch her before she got to the forbidden zone. And so we stayed in the grass, and everyone did some good grazing. Even if the quality of grass isn’t great this time of year.
Sky had a little scare. If you’ve seen the videos of Milo and Sky running on the grass, you might have noticed how they like to run to one of the picinic tables and jump up there and wait for their well deserved treat. They did that today too, and I didn’t even have time to notice that the table was wet and slippery. And neither did Sky. She took a tumble. She wasn’t hurt in any way that I could tell, but she did get a little spooked. Stayed calmly on the pavement with a “that was scary, I better play it safe for now” look, while Milo kept running around like a goof. Poor, little girl. I sat with her in my lap for a while when we returned to the goat pen for the relaxing part of the day. And of course she milked it for some extra sympathy treats too. And then I had to give everyone else sympathy treats too because it’s really traumatizing when someone else gets more treats than you do.

Grandma on the leash. Since there are no more leaves you can see the apartment building of the forbidden zone right behind the trees.

Sweet, little Sky. The sympathy treats are good for taking your mind off the fall.

I thought I’d be smart and turn off the heat while I was out goating and then leave it off for when I go to bed to save lots of money but now here I am at the computer and I’m freezing, I mean who could have predicted that?! Global warming my ash, it’s all smock and mirror.s

Yeah, you’re not thinking about Jason Momoa NOW, are you?! It’s easy to look sexy when you’re all slowmotion hi-def coming out the water without a shirt. I’d like to see Jason, if that IS his REAL .. NAME, rock this look and make the ladies swoon. Btw, DC when you recast Aquaman, and you’ll have to what with the eyesore you picked this time round, why don’t you try calling a guy from the home country of you know, AQUA. It’s not rocket science. And even if it was I could definitely beat Jason Momoa in rocket science.

Anyway, I’m going to go bury myself under my wellness blanket because it’s cold and I’m tired.
PS Jason if you see this then aquaman up and face me. Viking vs… I wanna say jellyfish?

I’m not surprised to see that Jason Momoa has not responded to my public challenge. It’s easy being Mr Tough Guy when you have a horde of writers writing your lines and when the people you fight are actors who are instructed to go down when you wave your hand in their direction. Dya think grandma would throw a fight? She would not. She would knock me right out. Show me how Mr Hot Aquaman would do in a fight against grandma. I dare you. You’d be playing in the kiddy pool because you’d be scared, that’s what I say.
If you ever find a magician to brew you up a potion of braveness, you know where to find me. I’ll be he guy in the goat house who doesn’t get paid a million bucks to take his shirt off in the ocean.

Re: The Smashing Pumpkins. Oh dear. I didn’t even realise Shiny And Oh So Bright had been released. More power to you if you like it, but I just find it kind of embarrassing. Billy’s voice isn’t suited to mediocre pop. Some of the music is alrightish, but the lyrics and vocals. Yikes. I enjoyed Oceania quite a bit, but most of what they have done since the reunion… not so much. I feel like they’ve become the parody of themselves that Billy didn’t want them to become. Changing lineups and teashops and greatest hits. Sigh.
I’d rather have a Zwan reunion.
But at least them being together means there’s still a chance that I might see them live one day. I still wish for that.
Maybe I’ll like it better when I’ve listened to it more.

I still get a minor panic attack every time I’m watching TV and someone rings the doorbell in the show. The heart stops and the brain goes “OH NO PEOPLE” and then slowly it sinks in that it’s just the TV and there’s no one at MY door and I calm my brain down “no people, no people. Just tv. No people”. And then I give my brain a biscuit and put a paper bag over its head until its calm again.

Jail time for Cohen. Another poor, innocent soul caught in this baseless withchunt. I don’t know how CNN and NBC managed to get all those people to plead or be found guilty. I bet they’re all having a party in the pizzeria basement/sex dungeon tonight. What a smockery of justice.

Good goat times today. Cold morning. In fact, #SNOWMAGGEDDON2018
Well, there was a little bit of snow around the edges here and there in undisturbed locations. The wind wasn’t bad, though, so it didn’t feel too bad. I doubt this snow will last long. Unless we get more, of course. We’ll see. Will it be a white christmas? Probably not.
Of course the goats weren’t too thrilled. It’s one thing if everything is covered by snow. It’s actually worse when the ground is all wet and muddy with bits of snow here and there. That mud tho. But I got them out. They went for one of their favourite places. You might have seen it in some of the morning videos, sometimes they head along the wall and then around the corner. And then along that wall there are some plants that are very resilient. They stay somewhat greenish during winter. They’re decorative plants, though. Which leaves me with a bit of a dilemma. Because. Well, frankly my dear I don’t give a darn about deocrative plants. I’d let the goats eat ’em all in a heartbeat. But that wall is right in the outlook of several buildings where official staff people might be watching from. And they might not be happy if I let the goats just snack on the decorations. So I kinda have to walk a fine line. Pretend that I’m keeping the goats away while actually letting them have some tiem to eat from them.
I DO keep the goats away from the flower beds. Or, I do my best. But the plants along the wall? I’m kinda like a guy who walks his dog to his neighbour’s yard and pretends not to notice the dog doing its business while actually whispering ‘go on, that’s a good boy’.
We made a pretty quick return ot the goat pen and had good cuddly times in there. Hay, treats and cuddles. That’ll do. That’ll do nicely.

This was grandma Mio’s first destination when I let them out this morning. And she was hoping it would be the last, too. Good place to stand her ground and not budge. The white door on the left is where they come out. Sometimes this garage thing is open. Mia doesn’t like it. She usually peers in there to make sure there are no monsters and then hurries past. They don’t like dark and unfamiliar places. But, with the ground being wet and muddy and snowy in places, grandma found a good dry spot there. She did move out once the rest of the flock started moving away, though. And then we went to destroy the decorative plants, as told in the post below.

Milo is a funny boy. Today he got scared of my gloves. I was clapping my hands and rubbing them together for warmth, and that freaked out Milo. I think he thought the gloves were monsters that were eating my hands. My gloves are mittens and I can pull the ‘hood’ off them to let my fingers free without taking the gloves off. I freed my fingers and reached out and gave him some scratchies and he was perfectly fine with that. Then I folded the gloves back over my fingers and rubbed them together again and he got scared and ran to the steps leading out of the goat house. He was very close to actually running under the goat house. Meanwhile Sky didn’t bat an eyelid at the killer gloves from outer pocketspace.

“That was a scary ordeal, but I think we got through it. You buried those evil gloves on holy ground, right?”
Hopefully I’m forgiven. Now it’s time to shut down the circus for tonight. Let sleeping elephants lie and don’t poke the bear. See you tomorrow if the wind is in our backs.

Oh great. It’s fireworks season. I love fireworks season. Nothing better than fireworks season. I also like having nails drilled into my forehead, when my neighbour chainsaws, and coming up with subtle sarcasm. These are some of the things I enjoy.

I am prone to great sentimentality. Like this song, never fails to make me cry a little. It reminds me of.. someone. A certain place and time. Not one single place and time, but the feeling of places and times. And someone.
And as with Africa, I will not aplogise for loving it. You kids can keep your hip and your hop and your spotify. I’ll be on my lawn not lighting fireworks.

You should have fainting goats. Buckeye knocked Kip off the bench. Kip fell and fainted and his little face was all muddy. So I tried to clean him up.
He didn’t appreciate his face being cleaned and I thought he was going to faint again. Silly goats.
When Buckeye slid off the bench because of snow, he fainted. They go for a long time and don’t faint, then they seem to go on a fainting spree.

Merry Christmas to you and your family, Lasse! We are having our Christmas today on the 24th with my parents and my sister and her husband.
No snow here, which is fine with me. We had our big snow at the end of November, so I don’t need any more till next winter. I am sure the goats and donkey will agree with that, too.
Are you celebrating with your family on the 24th as well? Have a very Merry Christmas! Give your goatzies a hug and some scratches for me.
