Good goat times today. Some sunshine, a little rain. A fairly quiet day. When the goats weren’t chasing each other around. You can tell that Sky is very aware that Bella is one who will be a problem in the future. When I give Luna a treat she’ll be like ‘please don’t’. When I give Bella a treat she’s like ‘I WILL MURDER YOU’. More or less. No doubt Bella is her biggest treat in the hierachy. Unless little Luna hits a growth spurt then it surely will be Sky or Bella who will be in charge. Well we’ll see how it all goes. They are getting along pretty well. When Sky isn’t trying to get all the food. And when Bella isn’t trying to get Luna out of my lap so she can get up there. Most of the time it’s just fine and they all seem happy. The kids have settled in well at their new home and Sky is happy to not be alone.

Jesus forkn chresht. I just spent an hour trying to get into my email. The email I have had for 30ish years, the one that EVERYTHING IS ON.
Google and twitter searches showed no one else having problems. I thought I had lost it. I would have lost so much stuff. My facebook is connected to that email. Everything is connected to that email. I nearly had a heart attack.
Anyway, turns out I was blocking something in my hosts file that it needed. If you don’t know what that means, ah you don’t really need to. I’m just so frerken relieved that I fixed it. It would be like.. coming home and the key to your front door not working.
Anyway. Guh. Time to unpanic the system.
And ehm good goat times today! Some rain and shine. Jeanette asked me “Have you ever thought of bringing a raincoat?”. And I said “Yeeesssss… I’ve thought about it”. Next stop would be actually doing it, we both laughed. I got a little wet going home yesterday. Even more today. But thankfully nothing like the skybrud last week.
Lots of sweet relaxing with the goats. Lots of treats and goodies.
I’m gonna go make some soup now, I have earned my goodies.

Good goat times today. Aother cool day, it had rained overnight. But stayed dry while I was out. The goats aren’t too happy when the ground is wet, though. But at least we got some sun too.
Bella added a new trick to her troublemaker repertoire. I’ll show you later in a picture.
The biggest news of today was… I taught Luna to shake hoof! Well, we’ll see if she retains the skill. But she did pretty well today. That might be a new record, it took Milo like 5 years to learn it. Sigh.
But yes, she did pretty good. She’s very eager, though. If I don’t shake back and give a treat she’ll just start jumping up on me. She’s a bundle of energy, I love sitting down on the bench and just having her climb all over me, pawing at my pockets, ramming her head into my side, going back and forth, lifting her up. It’s like a wrestling match with a tiny furball. She needs to stay this size. With all the treats she got today that is not very likely though…

I told you she’s a troublemaker. Here’s Bella’s latest caper. I guess since we moved the barrel out of the goat house and she can’t try to get up on the hay self in there anymore, this is the next best thing. Sheesh, we’re going to have to goatproof everything.

Aw, look at little Luna. Shaking hoof like a champ. I hope she retains the skill, I think she’ll be the fastest goat ever to pick it up. We’ll see. She did well today.

Jeanette went out to buy new goatfeed, but they didn’t have any left. She had to buy a different kind. It’s more expensive than the regular stuff, so it better be good. The goats don’t seem to mind the dchange. It’s like me with my head buried in the pizza box.

Well I suppose I have to share some bad news with you all.
I know some of you have noticed the redshirt hen in recent photos and videos. I don’t know if any of you have wondered why you have only been seeing one redshirt lately…
Well, we lost two of them. There was some kind of miscommunication a while ago, and the hens weren’t locked up for the night. And the next day two were gone. Pretty sure the fox took them. Jeanette said she had found a pile of white feathers, so the fox probably tried to take Henrietta too. But Henrietta is a fighter, you know. She survived the dog attack, she survived the fox attack. And recently I saw her fighting a crow. No sht. I hear squawking and looked up and well it was hard to see what was going on but it looked like Henrietta was flying with her claws in front of her attacking a crow. I don’t know if they were fighting over food, if Henrietta was attacking or defending. With my bad eyesight it’s hard to be sure, but it looked like a Street Fighter game.
Anyway. It’s very sad that we lost 2 redshirts. Only big white Henrietta Solo and one redshirt left. I wish everyone on the staff cared and were as present as Jeanette is…

The goats are still working on the greens that Jeanette dropped off a couple of weeks ago. I like to move them around and prop them up and keep them off the ground and such. Remember the black spindle kind of thing? It has a hole in the middle and I was worried the goats could get hurt in it if they jumped up on it. Well I got some of the branches and stuffed them in that hole so now it’s sort of the centre of this decoration of greens. It’s almost likle a whig-wham tent, at this point a lot of the greens have been munched away but when i first did it, the goats could go into it and eat it from the inside too. And it’s nice to see all three of them working on it together.
