So, how are things going, you ask?
Things are going well. Everything seems to be working. I have activated my Windows. The USB is working. In fact it’s working better than before. I’m not sure if I ever mentioned this, but I couldn’t transfer files from my camera to my new computer. The USB connection would seemingly work and it would recognise the camera, but I just couldn’t access the files. Also the two USB ports on the front of the computer weren’t functional. When I opened the machine I found that the wire from the ports to the motherboard hadn’t been connected. Pretty amateurish of the people who built the machine I have to say. I guess they just forgot to plug it in. I didn’t dare to do it myself at first, worried that I’d kill the motherboard. But when I put in the new hard drive I decided to plug in the USB wire too. And now it’s done. And the USB ports on the front work. And I can access the files on my camera when I connect it. So I no longer have to plug it into my old computer and then transfer the files from that computer to the new one. All in all quite nice.
And my glasses have been fixed too. You might remember that the frame broke. I’ve been walking around with a little rubberband fix. But now it’s all restored to its former glory.
So basically, everything has been going brilliantly since the initial computer failure. Good thing I didn’t kill myself, eh? Hah.
Well, my jaw is still hurting. That’s the only negative thing. Maybe I’ll have to go to the doctor with it. It kept me up last night until I took a painkiller.
My new desktop picture is this. Before the reinstall I had the one with the ladybug on my finger. I figured it was about time that the goats got on my desktop. So I can smile everytime I turn on the computer. I considered this one as well. But Mads won out in the end. Now that the computer business is almost done (just have to move some last files around) you can expect new playground pictures soon. I taught Mads a trick. I can’t wait to show you.
And that, as they say, is that.

Yes my friend it is a good thing you did not kill yourself ~ it would effect alot more people then you realize. I for one would miss my dear LJ friend in Denmark, and his beautiful pictures of animals with a happiness of their own! Now to talk about better things… YOU DID IT! I am always so amazed as to how computer savvy you are! I wish you lived closer I have 3 old computers in my garage that I want to take apart and try and rebuild one with all the good hardware from the others. I love your desktop picture ~ Mads is very photogenic! Can you post the picture with the ladybug on your finger? I would love to see it. I hope your jaw is better sometimes when I am real stressed I’ll grind my teeth while I sleep and it does that to me and also gives me killer headaches – I think they call it TJM? Muscle relaxers always work for me when this happens. I hope it is better ~ and it is FRIDAY!!!! YAHOOO! Have a good weekend, keep your head and spirits up ~ your friend, Debbie.

Yes, Plume – listen to your Deb’s and Debbie’s advice! We know what we’re talking about. Where else could we go to see beautiful pictures of Mads. He is very photogenic, although I think you may have a wee bit of talent in finding his “best side”.
You’re a big tease! Telling us you taught Mads a trick, but not showing us what it is. Stay tuned for the next exciting installment . . . Mads does a cartwheel! Or did Mads teach you a trick?
I wonder about our goats sometimes. They have trained us to shake their paw and give them a cracker. If they stand up on their back legs and do a little dance for us, they will also get a treat. Smart goats! We are easily trained humans.

Debbie – I am glad that there are people who would miss me, that’s a good thing to remember.
My jaw is still hurting a bit. But FRIDAY WOOOOH. Yeah buddy. I posted a link to the ladybug/bird/thingie in today’s entry.
Deb – I am very mindful of my Deb and Debbie’s advice! You guys should be a superhero duo.
The trick wasn’t too big, not exactly a cartwheel. I shall try to get him to do that. Maybe I’ll have to do cartwheels for him so he can see what he’s supposed to do. Hehe.
