The Fifth Wall

Sitting with the goats…

In the shade of the bulldozer. Kind of disconcerting. Goat baahing is much nicer than machines rumbling.

I overheard Per talking about it the other day. Apparently they are building youth houses. Houses for young people. I hope it will be young university students who enjoy writing reports and sleeping, not juvenile delinquents who enjoy loud parties and scaring animals. Time will tell.

He also said that some of the stuff that is being dug up now will be put back later. So they are not going to completely destroy the place. That’s good at least. But it’s still not nice to watch. I don’t like the change.

Hmm, I’m kinda young. I wonder if I could move in when it’s done? That would be neat. Opening my front door and having Mads standing outside with a “come on, we’re waiting for you” look on his face. I wouldn’t mind having the goats for neighbours.

I bought a lottery ticket today. Because I want to be able to complain that I never win the lottery. And then I check my hotmail account. And there are no less than two separate “You Have Won The Belgian/American/Whatever lottery” scamspams. I’m going to take that as a good sign. Millionairedom here I come. I’ll buy the playground and make sure it stays forever green.

Let’s finish off with a goaty smile from Vanilje.

There was a family there today who kept calling her Jacob. And adding to the confusion was the fact that one of their boys was called Mads. So when they were trying to get Vanilje’s attention they were shouting JAACOB and when they were saying Mads they weren’t referring to any goats at all. You can imagine the chaos. Much ado about not a lot.
