Diamond In the Rough

I have good news and I have bad news.

Let’s start with the good news. The christmas card is done. Ooh yes. I am very happy with it. I did have some trouble with our printer at work, I had a hard time aligning everything all properly like. But nevermind that. It’s not a professional card, I don’t want to stress over little things like that. It is the thought that counts, and I think the thought is rather good. So now I can start sending them out. In theory. What is proper christmas card etiquette? Hmm. I shall have to give this a great deal of thought, and then do whatever the computer gnomes tell me.

The bad news: Kulle has left the playground. Aw damn. I thought it was supposed to get easier? I miss him already. He has gone to another playground. I knew that was the plan, I just didn’t think it would happen so soon.

I’m sure he’ll be happy in his new place though. Kurt told me that he has settled in well there. After some initial confusion. When he first got out of Kurt’s truck he was confused because what was this new place? And they have a couple of girlie sheepies and apparently Kulle first tried to mount them and then tried to drink from them. He wasn’t sure if they were his harem or his mother(s). Aw the poor thing. But then a horde of girls came and started fuzzing over him and screeching because he’s so lovely and so on. He’s going to be a star. So beautiful, the prettiest lamb I have ever seen. And confident. He is going to rule that playground, just you wait and see. I’ll have to go visit him some time.

The circle of life, etc.

I made a couple of videos of him yesterday. I didn’t know it would be the last time I’d see him. Sniffle. I’ll try and post them sometime soon.

Tomorrow is the christmas party. Then on Saturday I feed the animals in the morning and go see Tina Dickow in concert in the evening. So at least I’m keeping busy.

Oh, poor Kulle! So confused. He’ll figure it out eventually at the new playground. Yes, you will have to go visit him and his new friends.

Good luck at the party, have fun, take photos, NO dancing with a lampshade on your head now. Unless you really want to!

We had our first BIG snow overnight. Lots of drifting blowing snow here. Not sure yet how much we have . .. maybe 7 to 10 inches. Haven’t seen the goats poke their heads out of the barn yet. They didn’t like the snow last time they saw it. Hope we don’t have to pull them out of their stall again. They are much bigger now than last time.

They don’t have your appreciation of snow, Plume. They think “evil snow” makes goat feet feel funny, don’t like at all, go away snow. That’s what they told me, anyway!
