Postman Plume
My mailbox was full of love today.
I got the cutest little wombat plushie thingie from Renae and her family. It is extremely lovely, thank you! In fact I think it’s a hand-puppet. I’m going to have to try to make a cute video with it. Look forward to that.
Also got a card from Selina Enriquez. Who is not only a supermodel and actress, but also very, very sweet. Thank you Selina!
And then I got a wonderful card from Desirée. With a sweet picture of her little girl, Raven. What a beautiful christmas treat.
I also got a christmas card from my dad. With an article about Tina Dickow that he printed out from the intarweb. Hehe. He’s learning to use the web. The article is a standard bio, one that I have read a thousand times before. But thanks anyway, dad! I’m sure sooner or later, if not already, you will have found my blog. But just calm down, worse thing happen at sea.
I also have another overseas delivery waiting for me. A letter or package. It was delivered to the wrong address though. But hopefully it will turn up soon. It’s so nice to actually know people and receive mail at christmas. It is a stark contrast to the loneliness of past years, when christmas was just a depressing time. These days are much jollier.
We got hot chocolate at work today. One of the ladies who work up in the bar needed some help with her daughter’s exam project. She had a .doc file and needed it printed in A3 format blabla and it was more complicated than it sounds. So she came down with a pitcher of hot chocolate for us. Very nice. And we solved the problem and got it printed okay. And I interacted fairly well with everyone. Good stuff.
I’m gonna go play with my wombat now.

Wombat, wombat! I like saying that word. Mmmmm, hot chocolate!
Have you received my card/letter yet? My friend in Australia received hers already and I mailed them airmail on the same day. My friend has e-mail now so we’ve been talking up a storm. (A snow storm, ha ha!)
It’s sooo great to have friends from all over the world, I’m glad I was brave enough to start talking with you Plume. (Wombat, wombat, wombat . . . I can’t stop saying it now!)
PS: That was nice of your Dad, too. Means he’s thinking of you and knows how much you like Tina.

Lyrics to “Wombat Love” by Captain and Tennille
Wombat, wombat, candle light
Doin’ the town and doin’ it right in the evenin’
It’s pretty pleasin’.
Wombat Suzie, Wombat Sam
Do the jitterbug at a Wombat Land
And they shimmy, Sam is so skinny.
And they whirl and they twirl and they tango.
Singin’ and jinglin’ a jangle
Float like the heavens above.
Looks like wombat love.
Nibblin’ on bacon
Chewin’ on cheese
Sam says to Suzie
Honey, would you please by my Mrs
Suzie says yes, with her kisses.
Now, he’s ticklin’ her fancy
Rubbin’ her toes
Muzzle to muzzle
Now anything goes as they wiggle
Sue starts to giggle.
And they whirled and they twirled and they tango
Singin’ and jinglin’ a jangle
Floatin’ like the heavens above
Looks like wombat love.

Belinda – I hope so too! Ooh the excitement!
Deb – I know, wombat rules! Wombat wombat wombat. I go nuts, I do.
No card from you yet. Unless yours is the one that got wrongfully misdelivered. I’m very glad you dared to talk to me too. I’m actually quite nice and not scary at all. Much like a wombat wombat wombat wombat. It is addictive isn’t it!
Luis – Mwahaha! Awesome. I wombat love that.
Jane – Sweet! I am glad you liked it. And that I brought some amusement to the job hehe. Some day I’ll teach you how to pronounce Magnethe :-P
Try to buy a house with a big attic where the Plume can live! In Denmark it is tradition that the “nisse” (santa’s little elves / garden gnomes) live in the attic.
Anyway, good luck with it all!
