Valentine (Heart of Mine)
I must apologise for the feeble valentines entry. I had a quite nice idea for a bloggin, but then I lost my mojo and ended up just posting the pictures and letting that be that. Don’t worry, I will use the idea another time. Just without the valentines theme.
I had good times at the playground today. The goats were outside, in the horses’ mudfield.
I am not sure if they had escaped by themselves or if they had been let out. But the sheepies were back behind the mudfield too, so maybe it was on purpose.
That is Fregne’s lamb trying to climb her. If you look in the background you can see the road ending in a pile of dirt. That’s where the construction starts. And further in the background you can see the houses that they are building. Good thing they left some greens and roads for the animals.
Much mud though. The goats were kinda tiptoeing around. It was fun seeing them together with the horses. At first they seemed to get along just fine, but then I think a few arguments arose. I know Musse kicked at Magnethe a couple of times. She didn’t hit her. But Magnethe got a bit scared. She started running away every time the horses came near. It was hard not to laugh a little, poor Magnethe being chased by horses.
I do think I saw Sille licking Magnethe’s back again. Hehe. I guess mutual grooming is the best explanation for that. I know Sille and Musse do it. It just strikes me as quite funny that a horse and a goat would do it.
Aw there’s my favourite little scrunchee. She still doesn’t want to be bottle-fed. But Kurt had help from Shermin today, so they managed.
They had to force her to take it though.
And of course Mads eventually showed up to see what that bottle was all about. Shermin is a little afraid of him sometimes so I had to lure him off with the promise of cuddles.
And for once it’s the lambs that have to look on with envy. As Mads gets the attention. Or maybe they’re just staring at my future bald spot.
Four lambs. That is a lot of lambs.
I got a lot of great video footage from today. Horses and goats and lambs and humans too. I shall post some tomorrow methinks.
Now I must thank some people. Thank you to Jane who sent me some lovely snow pictures. And she also sent me a snow greet! Yes, the greetz page has been updated for the first time in almost a year. And here is the pic:
Yay! I need my snow. All the snow here is gone. I hope more will come soon. Soon please soon.
Also thanks to Lindsay who sent me a Wheels O’ Wisdom. Part valentines card and part How To Say I Love You In Different Languages. Sweet! Now I can safely date women of all nationalities!
And not least thank you to Debbie who sent me something completely amazing. A dream catcher! A real one. It has a certificate of authenticity and everything. That is so awesome. You know how much I love dreams. I’m going to hang it above my bed. Thank you so much Debbie!
Didya know that many a years ago when I worked at the tiny publishing house Hovedland I helped (okay, I didn’t help I was just there) publish a book called Drømmefanger? That’s Danish for dream catcher. Spooky, eh? Well, not really. But great!
More people should send me stuff. It doesn’t have to be expensive gifts. It could be a copy of your daily newspaper or a parking ticket you got or something silly. Or more post cards. My address is on the right under “snailmail”. Incidentally today it is precisely one month away from my birthday. I’m just saying is all. Cough.
And that’s the tooth.
