The Comeback Kid
Phew, I’m tired. Must see if I can post an entry quickly. I have had too many pictures to process. Why? I’ll tell you why…
Vanilje is why! Finally she is back. It must be almost four months since Kurt took her away. Oh it was so good to see her again.
It’s like she never left. When I got to the playground Per was sitting on a bench. And Vanilje was rummaging under the table. I went to her and stroked her head a little and asked if she remembered me. And Per said “of course she does”. Sweet. Somehow I imagined that she would have grown big and huge, but seeing her again she was just as little and cute and cuddly.
Someone forgot to tell her that Mads was in charge! They squared off together a couple of times. But after Mads had shown her who’s the boss they actually got along quite well.
And now a few pictures of Vanilje re-exploring her new old surroundings. Bear with me, I’m just so happy to have her back.
She still reminds me of her mother. Mathilde, who I miss a lot.
A happy day for me. And I made a new friend.
Oop, who’s that? A sweet, young buck.
He was inside with Magnethe. I hope they’ll get to spend some quality time together. He seemed a little nervous at first. He was jumping up with his front legs on the walls, under the windows. Almost as if he was trying to escape. And he butted heads with Magnethe a few times. I’m sure they’ll get along though. And then I gave him a few raisins and then we were friends indeed.
He had a little of that buck-smell. But not too much. Not yet.
What a puppy-dog look on his face!
And he’s certainly got the “floppy goat ear” look down.
Yes, I think he’ll fit in just fine while he’s here. He’s already learning the tricks of the trade.
And as long as he and Mads are kept seperate then there shouldn’t be any trouble.
Although I’m sure Mads will be able to sniff up plenty of trouble on his own!
There were kids at the playground today as well. So not only did I have new and old goat friends but I also got to talk to the kids about the goats and show them how nice they are. There was a girl who recognised me. She’d been there and played with Vanilje when she (Vanilje that is) was just a kid. So that was nice.
Yup. A good day today. And tomorrow is my birthday. It’s not going to be anything special though. My mother is working late tomorrow and Friday so we’ll do a little birthday dinner on Saturday. Tomorrow I’ll get up early and watch Lost. Then I’ll go to TMU. And then the playground, where I hope the goats are planning a surprise party for me. And then in the evening there’s the Royal League final where I hope Brøndby will give me the present of winning the tournament. And that’s about it. Another day, another dollar. But I’m not complaining. I’m feeling good, that’s all I can ask for.
And now sleepytime for Plumeheads.

Oh, Vanilje looks great! I knew she’d remember you. You’ve always been so good to her.
The new young buck is a real beauty. His long ears are so pretty and his coat is nice, too. Hope Magnethe takes a liking to him as well. He is very photogenic. And he knows the bucket trick already. What’s his name?
We do that too on birthdays if they fall in the middle of the week. Mine is in August on the 28th and my sister’s is August 27th, but I am two years older than her. We sometimes pick one day to celebrate both our birthdays or even later on the weekend if we all can’t get together till then.
You sound really, really good and I’m very happy for you my dear danish goat boy!

Yay, it’s nice to have Vanilje back – such a sweet looking girl.
Magnethe’s boyfriend is so cute! He looks younger than her… hehe… but obviously they have similar interests (bucket-standing, for one) so I’m sure it will work out. :D
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

LAURA: Your new layout and goat picture is great! I had trouble getting my Christmas card to Plume. It came back to me in February.
Plume, do you have a zip code or postal code with your address? I used the snail mail address you have listed, but it didn’t work. Now how come Luis Lemmings card went through to you and Laura’s and mine didn’t?

Debster – She’s a doll! She’s bigger, but still small. Or maybe I’ve just grown bigger too!
The buck has unfortunately left again. I guess Magnethe rejected him! Hehe. Nah, he’ll be back. I never did get around to asking what his name was. But I’ll find out when he comes back. I love his ears, they flop so good!
I’m doing well, thank you! The zip code is 8210. If you write it out exactly like it appears on the snailmail page then it should work. Odd that it didn’t work with the xmas card. Did it say anything about why it came back? Bummer. I shall have to send the goats after the mailman I think.
Laura – She is very, very sweet! I’m so glad to have her back.
The buck is actually younger than Magnethe, as far as I know! I think he’s about the same age as Vanilje actually. Which would make Magnethe almost a year older, if I’m calculating right. She’s robbing the craddle!
Thank you!
