Sunshine Reggae

Another beautiful day. Sunny and warm.

magnethe

Magnethe enjoying it.

And that’s pretty much what I did today.

Here is a video: http://youtube.com/watch?v=fi1cbWL8zYE. A video of yesterday’s pictures. Bodil and Kurt. Lulu the dog. And the goats. Lots of nice little interactions. It’s worth a watch if you like the animals. It gives you a good look at Lulu too. And her belly being rubbed. And Alice chasing the goats out of the feeding place. And Vanilje socializing with Lulu. And more, much more. Quoth Bodil: “..and the naughtier the goats act the bigger smile is on Lasse’s face sitting over there”. Too true.

I love sitting in the sunshine with the goats. It is my happy place.

The end.

Vanilje just can’t figure out what kind of “goat” Lulu is. She is just so curious about Lulu.

I think everyone whether a goat, dog, or human likes Kurt. He really seems like a nice person whenever we see him.

We took our two goats out for a walk this afternoon. The grass is sure getting green, my husband thinks he may have to mow later this week. Stu said their frogs weren’t singing yet, but ours have been singing since March 12.

I have this fear of frogs! I’m afraid of them.

It’s just like that movie “The Frogs” with Ray Milland from 1972. I saw it once and was traumatized forever.

My friend wants to go to Yellowstone over the summer to see the “mud pots.”

    But…

    I…

    can’t…

    (face grimices)

    …it’s the FROGS!!!!!!

(Eyes rolled back, mouth wide open in a silent scream that no one will hear….)

…it’s the frogs; it’s the frogs; it’s the frogs; it’s the frogs; it’s the frogs…..

Luis Lemmings: I don’t think the frogs would be in the mud pots unless you’re planning on having frog legs! We have the cutest little tree frogs that are gray or green depending on what they’re perched on and they have little suction cup toes. They are soooo cute, you couldn’t possibly be afraid of them. And they sing, too.

LL: Maybe you need to get a “Toad Abode” to put in your garden to desensitize your fear of frogs/toads. The “Abode” is dome-shaped pottery with a small hole for the toad to crawl in. Like the lean-to for Moominlizard only more up-scale.

Plume: Teach your Mom to say (in English): Debster, I made soup for you.

Debster – I bet Lulu wonders what kind of dog Vanilje is! Everybody likes Kurt. He’s a great guy. He was the first one who started talking to me in my early playground days too. He is kind and friendly and competent and just allround swell.
Did you frogs sing me a birthday song maybe?
You know, I don’t know how to translate “Debster”. It’s not in the dictionary! But I’ll teach her the rest of the sentence. That’ll have to do, mwahaha. (that was my evil mastermind laugh).

Luis Lemmings – I have never seen that movie. Maybe that’s for the best. I’m not afraid of frogs. But then I very, very, very rarely coem face to face with one. I remember several years ago though, one came jumping right in to our living room. That was back when my dad used to ask me if it was a good idea to keep the door to our back yard open at night. I needed the fresh air. He wasn’t too keen on the wildlife coming in. A cat came in once or twice back then too. Perhaps a young moomincat? Maybe the frog was a moominfrog, paving the way for many moominanimals. Indeed.
You know the band The Frogs? They are fun, if slightly offensive. Okay, extreeemely offensive.
