Love Conquers All

I had a nice time feeding the animals. Allow me to demonstrate with pictures.

nina

Nina at the door. Meowing to come inside.

piglets1

The piglets. Sweet and friendly. You can tell they have gotten used to the place and feel more secure. Now they come up and let you pet them.

And as soon as food was served they digged right in.

geese

Action shot of one of the geezers.

mads

Mads. Not a lot of action there, but you can tell he’s speculating on the possibilities of wrestling the bucket I am holding out of my hand.

Some boys came around just when I was closing. They asked what the new pigs were called. When I said that they didn’t have names yet one of the boys said “you can call one of them… hmm.. uhm.. Mads?”. Hehe. I’m not sure Mads, the real Mads that is, would appreciate that. There is only room for one Mads at the playground.

vanilje

Vanilje. She always baahs a lot at feeding time. Magnethe and Mads baah when they hear me and see me, but Vanilje just keeps baahing until the food is there. Leading to conversations like this:

Vanilje: Baaah.
Plume: Hi Vanilje.
Vanilje: Baaah. Baah.
Plume: Are you hungry?
Vanilje: Baaah.
Plume: I’ll be right over with the food.
Vanilje. Baah. Baah. Baah.
Plume: Yes, yes. Vanilje. It’s coming.
Vanilje: Baaaaaah.
etc.

You know how hard it is to shut me up.

Bodil came by and said hello while I was working. Nice with some company. And it’s always good to cuddle Lulu, that crazy dog.

A big, big thank you to the Debster. I got your easter card! It made it through the mail, imagine that. I guess I will call of the hitmen that I sent after the postman. What a sweet card and letter. Thank you to you and the menagerie.

And that’s about all. My dad’s brother is here now. So we’re four people in the house. That might not sound like a lot, but to me it is. Funnily enough I miss having the six goat kids jumping all over me. When it comes to goats it’s the more the merrier.

Anyway. I better finish my little Baileys bottle. It looks like something from a minibar. Hiccup.

Hooray! I can’t believe you received the Easter card so quickly. I mailed it on Monday, April 2nd! I seriously considered putting a picture of a goat on the outside hoping the mailman knew of your fondness of goats. Glad to know the mailman knows you aren’t the electric company anymore.

I talk ALL the time to our goats, cats, and birds. One of these days I just know they will all start talking back to me. They will probably say: “Please be quiet, we’re trying to think”!

Hoppy, Hoppy Easter to you and your family!

  2. Plume Says:

Debster – What a marvel! I was all surprised when I saw your name on the envelope. At first I thought maybe the christmas card had arrived haha!
I don’t think the animals will ask you to be quiet. I think they will ask what your opinion is on whatever subject they happen to be talking about. You can all sit down in a circle and discuss the state of the world.

    Hippity hoppity happy easter!

  3. Debster Says:

Good, I’m glad you were surprised. I thought about mentioning it but then thought no, if it doesn’t arrive (like the Christmas card) you would be disappointed. And I didn’t want that to happen.

We had a nice meal at my sister and her husband’s house with my Mom & Dad, too. Everything was really tasty and we brought home left-overs, yum yum. Time to go feed the goatzies now.

I will not say one word about you and your meds. Not one word. Not one word, my dear danish goat boy. I do have “under-cover goat agents” watching you, so you’d better get back on track after the holiday. Enough said!

  4. Plume Says:

Debster – I love leftovers. In fact, sometimes I cook spagetthi and put it straight in the fridge so I can eat it the next day as leftovers. I kid you not.
Undercover agents eh? So that’s why Mads was staring at me like that. And here I thought it was the raisins I were holding that kept his attention focused!
