On Desktop Of The World

Look at my new desktop.

That picture makes me smile.

(Old desktop and older desktop)

Good news today. I think. I went to feed the animals, and when I started pulling the chain at the horse stable I heard baahing from the goat stable. Vanilje’s baahing. And she was there alrite.

I was expecting Mads to be all alone. So that was a nice surprise. I hope this means that they have decided that Vanilje is pregnant after all and that she doesn’t have to go be with the buck. Of course it could also just be because Kurt couldn’t handle two goats in his van at once. Maybe he’ll take Vanilje with him on Monday. I hope not though. Two goats are better than one. I will be missing Magnethe enough as it is.

No foal yet. Maybe that was why Sille decided to be a troublemaker today? When I tried to get her inside she ran off to the field and started eating grass. And Musse ran after her. So I had to spend a good, long time getting them back inside. Musse wasn’t too bad. But Sille was very adamant that she not be removed from the juicy grass. My poor back.

The piglets are very cute.

I love their oinks. And when they get excited it goes up a pitch and they start squeeealing frantically. It’s cute. And Kurt was right, they are very friendly. I like scratching them behind their ears.

Haha. It looks like a big, giant piglet smile. Although it’s probably more of a “Hmm I wonder if I can eat those stubby, pink things he is sticking out to me” expression.

They get very excited when they get fed. Almost like Yvonne. They’ll start pushing each other out of the way to get to the food. And their water holder is right next to the food holder so usually one of them will step up into the water and stand like that and eat.

There were nice people today as well. A couple of families. One of them was Norwegian. Tourists, maybe? I think they were all rather entertained at my repeated attempts to get the horses to come back home. For some reason I started thinking that I was in a Laurel & Hardy movie. Hmm.

Santana came by too. He was too late to help me feed the animals this time though. But nice to see him anyway.

And that’s all, folks. Happy weekend.

Pretty desktop! We have Frankie the goat on our porch rail on our desktop. You would think we’re all “goat crazy” on this blog, or something.

You will have to get a bucket and pretend you have something good for Sille when you want her to come back in her stall. I read somewhere that peanuts aren’t good for horses, but I’ll bet she’d come to you for an apple, corn, or carrots.

The piggies are growing! They are so cute and look so friendly. Like Luis Lemmings said one time, pigs are very smart and can learn tricks.

The Norwegian people probably will go home and tell their friends how funny it is to watch the Danish goat boy chase horses at the playground. You will become famous in their country and in much demand to come to Norway to chase horses! (Plume’s new career: horse wrangler!)

Debster – I wonder, if goats had computers would they keep pictures of humans on their desktop? I don’t think we’re goat crazy, I think the goats are human crazy and we’re just obliging them!
I did have a bucket for the horses. No carrots though. But some.. hmm. oats? wheat? Something like that. It did help with Musse. But not Sille. She’d eat from the bucket if I put it close enough. But she would still not follow me. But I managed in the end, at least.
The piggies are lovely. I love their eyes, sometimes when you catch them from the right angle they almost seem human.
I better practice my horse wrangling!
