A Little Cream And Sugar

It’s been a quiet couple of days. And lemme tells ya, I don’t mind.

Oh, guess what I discovered? I discovered that if I put my glasses out on the tip of my nose then I can read the paper. Haha. It’s not very handy or anything. But it does help a little. I haven’t used my reading glasses for days. Nice.

More importantly, goats.

mads

Had a funny experience with Mads yesterday. He was walking around and then sitting down, getting up, sitting down. Rolling on his side. Licking himself on his belly. It seemed like it was a bit irritated maybe. But anyway. At one point he rolled all the way around so he was lying flat on his back with his belly completely exposed. Very rare that happens. Sometimes he’ll roll over on his side, but completely on his back.. I’m not sure I’ve ever even seen that before. Anyway, I couldn’t resist. I got down and started scratching him on his belly. Kind of like a mother tickling her baby’s belly, you know? Only more scratching than tickling. And he was wiggling around while I did it. Cute.

vanilje

Vanilje enjoying a good scratch too. In fact they all do. I am a skillful scratcher, I hope.

Unforunately the goats didn’t make the music video. If you remember the clips. Too bad. But I knew the chances were slim anyway. You can see the finished video here.

Oh and my jaw is doing quite well. So hey, things are looking up.

So there.

That needs to go on your profile: Danish, male, accomplished goat scratcher . . . and so on!

Silly Frankie likes to stick his head thru the fence to eat grass. He didn’t like getting stuck there though. We came home from work and had to pry his head and horns loose. He didn’t like that one bit, I thought we were going to have to grease him up and slide him back through the fence. (Or maybe remove his head from his body as a last resort).

We got him out after lots of struggling, baaaaing, etc., and so when he was free he went back down the fence a ways and did it again! He was able to get himself out this time. I wish his head and horns would start growing so he couldn’t fit through the fence. John Boy and Billy’s head/horns are much too big for that to happen now. I want a goat with a big head/horns! Size does matter!

    To ponder:

–If I was on my back, would Moominlizard scratch my tummy?
–If I was on my back, would Mads scratch my tummy?
–If I was on my back, would Moominturtles scratch my tummy?
–If Plume was on his back, would Moominlizard scratch his tummy?
–If Plume was on his back, would Mads scratch his tummy?
–If Plume was on his back, would Moominsturtles scratch his tummy?

    Mmm…

Debster – I like the “and so on” part hehe!
Poor Frankie at the fence. Something almost similar happened to me a couple of weeks ago, only with a geese. It escaped while I was feeding the animals. I can’t remember if I wrote about that. But anyway, I was trying to get it back inside and it was up against a fence and stuck it’s head through. Fences are dangerous things.

Luis Lemmings – Those are some big questions to ponder. I’m not sure Mads would scratch our tummies. I think he’d take the chance to poke his nose through our pockets while we were preoccupied with fighting gravity.
