The Plume Who Says Ni
Boy, is it hot. It’s been so hot that I have been walking around topless all day. But don’t worry, the curtains were all drawn and my mother at work. I don’t want to scar anyone for life. I am nothing if not modest. And brilliant. Modest and brilliant. Modest, brilliant and made of the finest silver money can buy.
Nobody expects the Spanish inquisition!
Okay, enough of that. I fear my brain might be a little fried, but that’s no excuse for quoting Monthy Python. I apologise. I didn’t come here for an argument. Yes you did. No I didn’t. Yes I did.
Nyyyaaargh.
So anyway. When I got to the playground yesterday, there was an awful racket. Continous distraught baahing from the sheep pen.
It was Mini and Dotty, all alone inside. Incidentally I am never sure what word to use, pen, fold, stable, house etc. I probably get it all mixed up terribly, but I’m sure you’ll forgive me. Anyway, back to the story. It seems that Kurt has taken the two mamas and the two boys back to his place. Leaving Mini and Dotty at the playground. I didn’t get a chance to talk to anyone about it but I assume they were inside so they could get used to being alone/together without running off in a futile search for their family. But it was a sad thing to listen to, they were baahing and baahing. Mini’s voice was all hoarse. It helped a little when I went in and sat down with them. But they were clearly not too thrilled.
I went back up there today. Dotty seems to have settled down but Mini was still baahing a lot. Every now and then clawing at the doors to try and get out. Poor girl. It’s a scary world when you’re a tiny, little lamb without your mama.
Okay, she’s not really tiny anymore. But still on the smallish side.
Calling out. A video: http://youtube.com/watch?v=qckesmcksj0. Various lamb scenes from yesterday and today. It doesn’t quite show how much they were baahing because they quieted down a bit when I was close. But I think you can still see their distress. And watch out for a special appearance by Mads. You might remember how he tries to poke his head through the wall when the lambs and sheep are getting the attention. Quite cute. Also after Mads pokes in there is some conversation. That was Santana who dropped by while I was there. He asks why the lambs are “barking”. Hehe. I thought that was funny.
But yes, fewer sheepies now. I wonder if I’ll get to see Fregne again. This was her second (that I know of) stay at the playground. Maybe she’ll be back the next time she has lambs. She’s getting old though. I remember when she first came this time. Kurt was giving carrots to the mamas but she just couldn’t chew a whole carrot. Her teeth too worn down I guess. She had to have it chopped up. But to me that just means she should definitely come back to the playground where there are crazy people who like nothing better than chopping up treats and giving them to sweet sheep.
There’s Mads. I think I might try to outgrow his beard. But then again, maybe not.
Vanilje and Magnethe relaxing in the sun. They have been squaring off a couple of times lately. That’s new. I guess it’s because Vanilje is growing up. She doesn’t just run away now, she’ll turn around and clash horns with Magnethe. Although not for extended bouts like Mads vs Magnethe. Those silly goats.
Saw Nina too. There she is in the middle of a dance step.
And a little further afar. I picked her up and gave her some cuddles. Nina the ninja. Oh yes, I forgot to mention a couple of days ago. I met Camouflage kitty again. That was nice. Come to think of it Camouflage kitty might actually be Big Tiger. http://plume.dk/pics/displayimage.php?pos=-3499. If you remember that one. I’m not entirely sure. But the other day Camo kitty did disappear into the bushes right at the yard of the family who I “suspected” had some relation to Big Tiger. And judging by that picture there Big Tiger does like to camouflage herself. And they do look alike I think. So maybe.
Compare:
You tell me.
That’s all for today. I hope you’re all enjoying your weekends. And if you could see fit to do a little rain dance in my honour, then I would be most grapefruit.
Finish off with youtubey: http://youtube.com/watch?v=0LI2y20wg_w. Coupla nice Magnethe scenes. The wagging of the tail against the fence. I love that sound. And then getting down in the hay and limberly scratching. And then another sit-down, this time notice how her head flattens out against the ground. I find it rather funny. Sweet Magnethe, a constant source of fun and joy.
Toodles.

Plume is growing a “little goaty beard”.
Camo Kitty and Big Tigger do look quite a bit alike. Did you check them for ID, driver’s license, etc? Of course, it might be an undercover kitty and wouldn’t have ID, so must think of another way to identify them.
Poor lambies, no mama sheep around. Good thing you’re their surrogate “papa”.

Debster – I do everything the goat way!
The problem with properly identifying camo kitty is of course that it is well camouflaged. But I’m going to assume it’s the same kitty, then I have less animals to keep track of in my head. Hee.
