A Rain Dance

Houston, we have drapes!

It is a very good thing. It feels nice and comfortable. I am quite happy about it. Now people can no longer peek in at me. As I am sure they have all been doing, because I am so very interesting! Haha.

The day didn’t start too well, though. I had a bad dream. Involving my brother getting killed in a car accident. Seeing the car run over him again and again… very unpleasant. And then when I was walking to the bus to go pick up the drapes I walked by a dead pigeon. At the side of a little path, away from the road. I wonder what happened to it. It didn’t look “damaged”, I didn’t even realize it was dead at first. But then the immovable head… It reminded me of my brother’s head under the cars. Very unpleasant.

The drape master was pleasant as always, though. And I swung by a supermarket and picked up a toaster as well. So now I can make toast in the nude. A dream come true.

I had a nice moment when I was halfway through putting up the drapes. I had removed all the boxes from the windows. And outside it started raining. A lot. And I sat down and watched it. It was beautiful. I like the trees and the grass outside my window. I will definitely not be keeping the drapes shut all the time. Some of the kindergarteners started running around in circles outside and singing “we love when it rains! we love when it rains! we love when it rains!”. Over and over. And by “singing” I really mean more like just shouting. But it was very sweet nonetheless. All of them dressed in little raincoats, with the water dancing at their feet.

I love the summer rain.

Tomorrow I’m going to the bank. I am a little nervous about it. Dealing with grownup stuff like money. I just want to dance in the rain. But I’m sure it will go fine. And afterwards I’ll go see the goats. I have gotten two votes for Director as my career, so I’m going to try and direct the goats. Oh chaos, I predict. Haha. Then I’ll go to the old home and help my dad with some computer stuff. He helped with the drapes a bit today, although I was half done before he got here. I could have done it all on my own, but it’s nice to see my parents. As I said, the distance makes me feel closer to them.

That’s all for today. Tallyho.

Hahaha. This is one of the funniest things I’ve read this month. I’ll go for writer AND director :)

How about “Best Comedic Actor”? I have always said Plume could be a stand-up comic, but maybe he should be sitting behind a desk if he’s going to do comedy in the nude. Unless he does comedy on the radio, then no one knows what he is or isn’t wearing.

Well I for one, want to see the new “Drape Video”. Does the Drape Master make a cameo appearance? I can just see you telling the poor man you need to video him for all your friends in other countries!

Stu – But I was perfectly serious! :-P

Debster – I would like to thank the academy for this prestigious award! You know, Webster’s dictionary defines comeday as..
okay enough of the acceptance speech! I promise I will keep my pants on if I ever get on telly. Otherwise I’d never know if the audience was laughing at my jokes or at my.. ouch. Ahem. Anyway. No videos of the drape master, I’m afraid. But the drapes are up in the latest vid, so go watch that!
