Føtex Fontex
I meant to update yesterday. But then I fell asleep. And slept the rest of the day and night. It happens.
Felt good though. Sleep good.
But what happened yesterday? I got a little surprise when I went to see the goats. No no, there were no goat babies. Don’t be silly. No goat babies yet. But the goats were out of their pen. Roaming free on the hillside. Well, Magnethe and Vanilje were tied. So only Mads was truly free. But it was nice to see them out in new surroundings. Their pen is all full of mud. Now they could enjoy some of the grass that has started to grow again.
Nice for me with some new surroundings too. Sitting on a rock. Every now and then the sun would come out and it would be almost summery. And with the two girls tied down I could get some alone time with everyone. When we’re in the pen it’s always “musical chairs”, the goats fighting for position. And Mads winning. So I dont get to sit alone with Vanilje or Magnethe a lot. But today I could manage it. Every now and then something (edible) would catch Mads’ attention and he’d walk off for a bit. And then I’d take time sitting with the girls. And they are sweet and wonderful. I love the time I spend with them. Eternal freedom of the spotless mind.
Some pictures, perchance?
Mads quite liked to gnaw at that log.
And Magnethe liked to gnaw at that tree. The goats being out and about is not good news for the vegetation!
They’d pick the place clean if they had the chance.
It’s nice being out front like that, more part of the goings ons of the playground. Like that family visiting.
And the girl whose hand that is.
Mads spotted a dog in the distance. It staid away, luckily.
Sweet Magnethe. GIVE US THE BABIES DAMMIT! I mean.. sweet Magnethe.
Magnethe and Vanilje didn’t seem to mind being tied down. But of course the grass is always greener on the other side, and the food that is out of reach is always more interesting than the food right next to you.
Vanilje almost using the rope to lean back so she can reach the branches. The rope was just long enough for her to get up on those rocks, but not get closer to the tree. Frustrating! I helped her out by bending down the branches for her a bit, though.
That’s all for now. Almost sleepy time again. Oh did I tell you about the cute clerk in Føtex, in the shopping mall? I have seen her a handful of times now. She has a sweet smile. She always says “hi” and “have a nice day”. Of course she says that to everyone, because they’re told to do that. But still, it counts as almost conversation. Maybe I can chat her up with “how much are these coconuts?”. Only problem? I never buy coconuts. Damn. Maybe it’s not meant to be.
Looking for love in all the wrong supermarkets.

Magnethe needs a good combing out. Our boys are losing hair left and right this month. I give them a combing about every day now.
You’re smarter than my husband. I had to tell him the clerks, waitresses, female help are PAID to be nice to the customers by their employers, they don’t really want your body! (I think I quite upset him with that comment!) hee, hee
Of course, you may be closer in age to your clerk in question than my husband is! (I tell him he’s more of a “fatherly” figure to them or if I’m feeling mean a “grandfatherly” figure.) I know, I’m terrible.
