Goal! By Dino Dini
Pardon me. I meant to update yesterday. But then I suddenly managed to get Goal! running on my Amiga emulator. And time slipped away like a sweet fairytale. I haven’t played that game since I moved out and left my trusty old Amiga at my parents’ place. Without a doubt the best football game ever. You can keep your fancy, modern 3D games. Goal! is where it’s at.
Also yesterday I had quite a bad dream. It was horrible in fact. There were multiple Madses. Or at least goats that looked like Mads. Which would have been awesome, if it wasn’t for the fact that they kept catching on fire. They were running around and burning. And they were somehow slightly seethrough and burning on the inside as well. I tried to put out the fires, but there was only a little water in puddles on the ground so it was pretty much impossible. And then it took an odd turn, as dreams often do. I don’t remember exactly what it turned into, but it was something about babysitting for the Beckhams? Strange. But the burning goats part was very, very unsettling.
I hope it’s not a bad omen. Mads’s treatment is over, but he’s still limping. I don’t know how fast antibiotics are supposed to work, but if it hasn’t started to get better after the ten days then I don’t think it will?
So I’m afraid his walking isn’t going to get better. But as I said, in general he’s doing quite well. He has much good living to do yet.
My main Mads.
A new intern at the playground came and dumped a bunch of hay for the goats. I went and got a handful for Mads, so he could sit and rest and eat. And I could watch and listen to the crunching of the hay.
Everybody liked the hay of course.
Magnethe.
And Chokolade. I wonder, when the sun comes back will she be hot Chokolade? Hot chocolate. You get it? I need to hire a joke writer I think.
“What is that thing you point at me?! A ..cam..eh..raaah? Fascinating. I must take a closer look…”
The kids are still wonderful of course. They have gotten so big though. And they are more interested in running around and searching for food, rather than jumping all over me all the time. I do miss it a little, being a mountain for them to climb. But they still come over, and when the mood strikes they’ll still try to jump in my lap and all that. They are lovely.
Now it’s weekend. Tomorrow I’ll be feeding the animals. And I’m expecting my new computer to arrive Monday or Tuesday.
Fingers crossed.

What big girls they are getting to be! They will still try to sit in your lap when they are as big as their mama.
Our boy Frankie would like to get in our lap when we’re sitting in a chair. He just can’t figure out why he can’t get all of himself to fit on a lap!

Debster – I am going to need a lap implant I think. People get fake hips don’t they? Maybe I can get a metal plate in my lap.
That’s why goats keep eating! They always see themselves as little goat kids! “We eat and we eat and we eat but we stay little, adorable babies! We must eat MORE!”
