Good goat times today. Grey and windy morning. We went from 30C/86F on Sunday to about 15C/59F today. A few raindrops here and there. But we did get some sun too, and the sunny periods felt almost like summer. Almost.
Not feeling too great today. Tired and bloated and eyes shot. But I had to get the goats out in the greens. We went around for a while. Just grazing, not too much wackiness. Although you can’t tell a goat not to be wacky. I thought we’d get a lot of visitors because I’m pretty sure today is the first day of the summer holdiay in Denmark. But only a couple stopped by. Maybe it was the mediocre weather. Or maybe people have left on vacation. A pretty quiet day all in all.

I am shutting down for the day. Time to go dream of something more than this. And don’t worry about those noises from the boarded up barn out by the corn field. I can’t believe I’m here at the Eiffel Tower. I’m sorry I didn’t tell you all I was going to Paris, France, but I thought it was a nice surprise. You’ll have to imagine the great selfie of course, since Facebook is still glitching. But rest assured that the view is great from up on the top of the Eiffel Tower which is where I currently am at. Can’t believe they let me carry this bronze statue of Mia all the way up here, but she sure does look regal with me on top of the Eiffel Tower, I wish you could see!

Good goat times today. Another cold, grey morning. With light rain. It did get better as the day went on, with a bit of sunshine now and then. But we’re far from the heatwave now. Maybe it was the wet weather that got the goats a little out of sorts. Or maybe it was noise coming from the residential block nearby. There seemed to be a lot of noise, loud music and commotion today from various places. You’d almost think we were celebrating 4th of July here too. Anyway, the goats were a little reluctant to leave the pen. But we did get out for a tour around the grounds and some greening. And then back to the pen to hang out in the goat house to stay dry as the light rain came back. A pretty relaxed day. But the company is great.

Sometimes when I post videos of Mia sitting in the shelter, people ask why there isn’t straw to sit on? I think they prefer sleeping on straw, but when they just sit down to relax during a hot day they often prefer sitting on hard surfaces. Like the platforms. This defies logic, though. Does it look comfortable to you? Usually Milo or Sky sit there, it’s a better fit for them. But Mia literally pushed Sky away so she could take this place. I guess Mia still thinks she’s a tiny little baby.

Watchinh Michael Palin’s trip to North Korea. It’s fascinating. You know you’re not going to get the whole truth, but it still interesting getting a little glimpse of it. Wondering how such a place could even be. And then the fact that the current American leadership is aligning itself with places like that. But okay, truth is whatever you want it to be. Look up the clip comparing Fox News coverage of Obama dealing with North Korea compared to when Trump deals with North Korea. The truth is whatever we tell you it is.
You gotta wonder if it’s just human nature. Would every political leader seize that kind of totalitarian power if they could? A grander version of, what if you find a wallet on the ground? What percentage of humans would take the money before returning it, if returning it at all? If you knew you could get away with it, would you?
Are humans inherently good or evil?

Good goat times today. A lovely, hot summer’s day. Good grazing with the goats. And mingling with little visitors. Trying to keep the goats from eating the decorative greens. Trying to keep the goats from stealing treats from my pockets. Trying to get Milo to behave with the visiting kids. He’s the only one who doesn’t always play well with kids. If you’ve read Esther the wonderpig’s books, I remember in one of them they described that ones of their goats (I forget who it was) had the odd habit of trying to attack short people. And kids. I guess that’s just a thing that some goats have.. because Milo sort of has it. I don’t know if he has it with short people, though. He’s perfectly fine with adults. But if kids want to pet him there’s about 1/4 chance that he’ll push them away. He doesn’t attack or chase them or anything. But he’ll swing his head at them and push them away. And if you’re a little kid that is basically the same height as Milo, that can be pretty scary. And you might fall over too. So when we’re mingling with kids I always try to keep an eye on Milo and stay ready to step in if needed. I don’t want the kids to have bad experiences with the goats. And they very rarely do. It’s funny, everyone is usually more worried about Mia because she’s the big one. But she’s great with kids now. When she was younger she had a bit of that kid-phobia. And we’ve had other goats that were like that too at the old playground too. I wonder what it is? Is it because the kids are goatsized so he sees them as rivals? He’s sweet and cuddly, if adults wants to pet him it’s perfectly, and he loves it when it’s me especially. Weird. Anyway, as I was saying Mia had some of that too when she was younger. Now she’s mellowed so she’s more like grandma. Grandma was the ultimate petting goat. Would stand still for ages and literally let kids poke her in the eye and nose and just stood there and enjoyed the attention. And again, funny because she was so huge that people were often intimidated if they didn’t know her.
Anyway. That was a tangent and a half. Good grazing, good relazing in the pen. I should have brought some cold drinks for myself, I was tempted to join in the water bucket conversation with the goats.
Anyway, I’ve typed enoug. End communigoation.

Today will be a good day. Here’s Medium and Large, and Mio, from 2013.

Good goat times today. A lovely, hot day. There’s a heatwave in Europe right now. It’s not as bad in Denmark as in other places. But definitely a hot day. Glad I brought an iced bottle of drinks. And the goats were glad I brought them buckets of water.
We went over to the kindergarten fence, and this time Nelly (whomst we often meet) was on our side of the fence with one of the kids. She had a lot of fun getting greens for the goats. She’d push down a branch and then all the goats would jump up and lean on her to reach. Mia almost pushed her over a time or two. Much laughter. Both Nelly and the kid layed down on their backs in the grass and had goats buzzing around them too.
A little later we walked out to the greens in other parts of the grounds, and again we met Nelly. This time with more kids. The kids were excited to meet the goats. They asked me if it was okay that they helped me “protect the goats”. So they kinda became deputy goat herders. Which mostly just consisted of them walking around and petting the goats and telling them not to run away. And hysterical laughter when goet berries started falling out the rear of a certain fluffy backside. A little girl gave me some kind of paper cutout. Said it was a prize for the goats. So it’s official, we have prize winning goats! It was very sweet all. There were a few close encounterso of the Milo kind, but the kids thought it was more fun than scary and they still wanted to feed him.
A lovely, hot day in the greens with kids and goats. Pretty, pretty good. Tough walk home, though. Even with the cold bottle. Did I buy iced creams, you ask? Well I didn’t not buy iced creams.

Phew. Good exercise in the sun. According to the forecast, tomorrow is the last day of the heatwave in Denmark. Temperatures will literally be cut in half and it’ll be below 20/70 for a while. Bummer. Have to take advantage of the heat while it’s here. I love a good hard workout in the heat.

Nuller and I are going to shut the week down now. It’s one of the hottest days of the year so far. Last day of the heatwave. Too hot to facebox. I’m going to go sit in the shower for an hour. They better have my rubber duckies ready.
Hope everyone out there is A+ doing well, #winning. I am getting worse at keeping up with things, but it’s just that the eternal gravity of black holes is trying to drag me out into the atmosphere. Thank goodness for these heavy led shoes and the string I tied around my finger to remember not to miss the ground when I fall. Anyway. See you beyond the veil. Keep the nightlight on and listen for me tapping on your window.
