Raisin’ Hell

February 28th, 2016

Another week gone. The little goat kids are growing. A month old now, can you believe it. It’s wonderful to see how well Fuzzy is doing. He was so tiny and fragile the first days. But now he’s just a big bundle of joy. He doesn’t have all the goating down to perfection like Peanut, but he’s got some of the same ego and heart. He still doesn’t back down for the twins. Have I mentioned on here that Ping has a wonky ear? It’s like watching one of those lizards with eyes that move independently of each other. It just has a mind of its own. It looks so funny when it points backwards.

They’ve had their first taste of raisins now. Which means they’re super eager for more. Pong especially has already learned to do a little dance and beg for more. And my nose has been nibbled more than once.

On the home front there is good news. My brother has been discharged from the hospital and is back home. So now he just has to get used to the new way of life, with dialysis and careful diet. Hopefully everything will go smoothly. I think they still have some tests to do. Crossing fingers for something useful to come back.

And that’s all for now. On with photos.

And videos.

And that’s all for this week, folks. See you in the next one.

Swing Swung

February 21st, 2016

It’s been a week of mood and weather swings. I’ve been up and I’ve been down. But I’m okay. And the weather has gone from icely cold sunshine to milder with a bit of snow. Hopefully that’s the last we’ll see of the snow for now. I’d like some spring soon.

The goat kids are doing great. Ping has an ear that seems to bend backwards at times. How peculiar. But maybe that’ll make it easier for me to tell him apart from Pong. When they race around I can rarely tell who’s who. But I can identify the fuzzball. Fuzzy loves to come over for some scratchies and cuddles. He’s the big lapgoat, while the twins prefer to race around.

I got some pictures on Mia’s page of Peanut. He’s doing well. But looking huge now. Maybe it’s because I’ve been spending so much time with little babies. He looks like a grown man. He’ll get such a surprise when he comes back home. Things sure have changed.

And so it goes. Upwards and onwards.

And videos.

And that’s all for this week, folks. See you in the next one.
