The Lurking Horror
Today actually went according to plan. How nice.
I got up at 7 am and acquired new Lost. Proceeded to watch and greatly enjoy it. Words aren’t enough to say how much I love that show. Seriously.
AFter that I went to the hospital for the laser eye treatment. No fun, but at least it wasn’t quite as bad as last time. Just had to finish up the right eye. So now all that remains is 3-4 treatments for the left one. Piece of cake.
Seriously, I want a piece of cake. Give it to me.
Eye treatment always leaves me tired and with bad vision. Even worse with the new floater today. But I still managed to stop off at the playground and have fun with the boys.
If you’re wondering what’s going on there, then it is simply the white-headed one (on the bottom) who is trying to show us that he is much mightier than my shoe. Pushing his head against it. Earlier the other boy was attacking my leg in the same fashion. I got some video of that, might upload that sometime. If you’re not all too tired of the videos yet.
It’s getting harder to tell them apart I think. The white-headed one isn’t even white-headed. They look more and more alike. Or maybe it’s just my imagination.
And they still can’t get up on the bench by themselves. Especially not when momma gets in the way like that!
So today wasn’t too bad after all. I still feel a little like I’m coming down with something, though. Not feeling bad yet, but like there is something lurking. We’ll see if it comes or not.
Oh and I think the kindergarten next door has closed. Or moved perhaps. The sign on their door has been taken down. And I haven’t heard any kids all week. It isn’t a holiday is it? I don’t think so. And their sign has always been up during previous holidays anyway. So I think it might be gone. That’s kinda sad. You’d think having a kindergarten as nextdoor neighbours wouldn’t be so nice maybe, but I have always liked it. I sleep with earplugs anyway so the extra noise have never bothered my sleep. And I like the sound of kids playing. In the morning they’ll come in groups and you’ll hear some kid shouting “FIIRST” as he gets to the door first and then someone else going “SECOND” as he gets to the door as number 2. And then a little later another batch of kids comes and it will repeat. It’s a great honour to reach the door first obviously. And just knowing that there are people and continuous activity there during they day, I feel like that might keep burglars away. A little. In my imagination anyway. Of course the place being empty at night keeps no one away. But then I am almost always at home at night. Also there is the fact that you know what you have but not what you’ll get. I’ve been happy with them as neighbours. If they are gone then probably some regular family will move in. And they might have hoodlum kids with drugdealing friends and loud heavy metal music and elephants for pets. Or worse, they might be nice and friendly and want to socialize! Aargh! The horror! But we’ll see what happens with that as well.
And now day over.

They really are getting to look like each other. That picture is cute with mama’s head on the baby. Little goatzie’s head is so small compared to mama Vanilje.
We all went on walkies tonight. Everyone came running when I came out with my yellow bucket of warm water. Drinking frenzy!
Snicker’s let me comb her tonight and was a pretty good girl, most of the time. I gave the boys lots of scratches and got to see John Boy’s teeth. He smiles big when he gets scratched in all the right places.

Debster – Yellow bucket? Well now I’ve heard it all. I thought all buckets were black. What a crazy world we live in.
I think it must be the goats turn to scratch US soon!

Their electric water bucket is blue! Don’t you have buckets of color in Denmark?
I could send you a bunch of colored buckets and you could sell them for a bit more than I paid for them and we could split the profit!
So now you have two job offers, one from Desiree as an au pair and one from me as a bucket busker!
LuisLemmings: do you have a job offer for Plume?
