The Bright Side

June 11th, 2009

I have had a couple of quiet, relaxing days. Just what the doctor ordered after all the hospital business. Now I am just counting the days until Tuesday and the big operation. I really need it. My eyesight is worse than ever before. It is completely horrible. And I would probably be very depressed if it wasn’t for the fact that there is hope that it might be getting better soon. I know I said that I was going to try and not get my hopes up too much. But I have decided to go in another direction instead. Naive optimism. I am going to assume that the operation will be a succes and I will have my eyesight back. So I don’t have to worry about how things are now. It’s just a temporary thing and before too long I will be able to see again. No reason to feel bad now. And if things don’t work out ok then I’ll just have to deal with that when the time comes. I don’t know if this is the healthiest way of dealing with things, but hey it’s working for me so far.
