Dali Oooh

(google cache)

I got on my excercise bike today. After the surgery on my eye I was told not to do anything that raised the pulse or made me sweat for 1-2 weeks. It’s been 3 weeks, so I figured it was time to give it a little go. It was quite nice to get back to it. Although it strikes me now that I should have turned on the telly so I could have watched the Tour de France coverage while I biked. Well, I wouldn’t have been able to see the TV from the bike. But I could have listened to it and pretended to be climbing the Alps, or something like that. instead I listened to my Jonathan Coulton youtube playlist. I listen to that quite often. I still love his music.

Aksi today I received a postcard from Desirée. Thank you dear Des. And thank you for writing in nice bold letters. I surely do need that now.

Tomorrow I should be off to see some goats, if all goats well.

I’m so glad you got the card! Raven picked it for your especially! And yeah, I made an effort with BIG letters, and felt a little silly doing so, but figured it would assist the reading ;)

Raven loves picking out cards, but she hasn’t really got the patience to help me write them. “Just write Raven on it,” she says – “Have you written Raven???” “Are you writing Raven now???” So, I had to come up with something deep and meaningful myself whilst she was heckling me. :))

I’ve never seen so many sheep, cows and horses anywhere as I saw in Friesland. Fitting, really, with the cows anyways, as our play was about the drovers that drove cattle from here to the markets in Germany back in the days.

Anyways, I’m off to bed. Stay happy, Plume.

Desiree: “sheep, cows, and horses” – no goats? I guess you don’t hear much about “goat drives” back in the wild, wild West days in the US either. hee hee

So now it’s Lance “Plume” Armstrong, is it? That looks like the most grueling awful race to be in, let alone as many times as Lance has been in it and won.

We were doing some interior painting on Wed when I happened to look out the window. There in the yard was a beautiful deer!

Then a few feet back were two spotted fawns. The funny thing was we were working in town surrounded by houses (town probably has about 20,000 people) and probably as many deer!

She and the two little ones were sure pretty as they walked across the lawn into the street and over to another lawn and disappeared.

Desiree – Raven is very talented at picking out cards. It is a precious skill!
Were there any cows in the play, I wonder? I want to do a play with goats. Actually Mads was in a play.. or it wasn’t really a play.. I forget what it was exactly, maybe Klodshans? But he got to act anyway, and have kids come and see him. A star he was.

Debster – Lance is back this year I see. I used to be quite the fan of the T de F. Until the doping scandals. One of my best memories was the year Bjarne Riis won. One of the biggest Danish sport achievements ever.. or so we thought. I have not been able to enjoy the cycling sport since then I’m afraid. But I don’t have to use doping on the exercise bike luckily.
You are so lucky with the deer and fawns!

Yes – there were DANCING cows in the play. Well, dancing steers, anyways. Raven and Arthur were mesmerized! They were awesome, if you ask me, but then, I’m biased ;)
