Tea Eye
Today was the return to the hospital. For a checkup on the old eyes.
It did not go quite as I had hoped. I was hoping I could get the secondary cataract treatment soon. But the doc recommended waiting a few months yet. And he also implied that it probably would not make a big difference. I was hoping I could get back to the quality of vision I had the first week after the last surgery. But it seems maybe I shouldn’t quite expect that. In any case, it’s back to waiting. And I have been discharged from the hospital system, so now it’s back to my private eye doctor. We’ll go see him in a couple of months and then we’ll see what happens.
Slightly better news is that we can go ahead and look at glasses now. The secondary cataracts shouldn’t have any influence on the glasses situation. So we can get started on that. See if regular glasses can do anything for me. If I can get reading glasses. And filter glasses for the sunshine.
Don’t need no filter glasses right now. The sun has gone missing. And the rain has come. I was planning to go to the playground and check up on Hans after the hospital visit. But it ended up taking hours with the doctors and I had my eyes eyedropped and photos taken of them, which always hurts them. And the rain was pouring down outside. So I was not up for a playground trip. Maybe I’ll get a chance to go tomorrow. Depending on the weather, and whether I decide to stay in and wait for the mailman. I have ordered lots of new stuff and would like to be here to receive it. We’ll see. I’m sure by now Hans is jumping around and eating as much as he can. Goats are smart, but they don’t always learn their lessons.
Here is a video of Hans, you can see he’s not his usual lively self: youtube.com/watch?v=FcaB3uxBVl8.
Also a video of my eyes: youtube.com/watch?v=m2eqp8Hisf8. It is not really very pleasant vieweing. So you may want to skip it.
I wish I could.
But onwards and upwards.
