While We’re Waiting To Exhale

It’s the night before christmas. And all through the apartment complex explosions are heard. I do not enjoy fireworks season.

Anyway, it’s almost time for christmas. Tomorrow is Christmas Eve which is when we celebrate because we are Danish and righteously so. I shall be going to celebrate with the family as is traditional. Hopefully a nice, quiet time with some nice food and good company. This year uncle Jens will be celebrating with us. And he’s bringing his new lady friend. Whom I don’t really know anything about and have never met. So that’s not really optimal for me, because having a “stranger” there will mean it will be hard for me to relax and feel comfortable. But I’m sure she’s very nice and it will be nice to meet her and we’ll all have a jolly good time. So I’m not going to worry about that. I’m just glad that my dad is back home and doing better and better. It would have been very sad if he had had to spend christmas in the hospital.

It’s quite cold now, too cold for me. But I looked at some of my old christmas videos on youtube today and it struck me how we have had no snow yet this year. It’s not going to be a white christmas. But that’s okay, the snow only makes it harder for me to get around. So I’m not really going to miss that. Especially with the new bus routes.

Other than that there is still nothing new really going on. A couple of goat videos:

youtube.com/watch?v=QwfY4iOnEa4. The new girl settling in. Being chased around. I need to find out if they have named her yet.

youtube.com/watch?v=xOZrKVDHj5Q. From yesterday. Probably my last visit to the playground this year. Since it will be closed for the holidays and I don’t have a key. I like the bit at the end of the video where Bob is playing around with my shoe. I was sort of moving it around abruptly to see how he’d react.

And that’s all for now. Hope y’all will have a nice and safe and happy christmas. Or whatever you may celebrate.

I for one miss the snow. It is not a real christmas without snow and ice!

When I was a kid every christmas was white, I think.

    Merry Christmas

I forgot to mention I am also celebrating christmas with the family, and
will drive there with my brother and his kids and wife, if I can fit in the
car. Usually I can. And in the New Year I hope to return to the Himalayan foothills, and stay until june.

Plume: have a wonderful Christmas eve. That’s when we open presents and have a nice meal at my parents’ house. That’s nice that Uncle Jens and his friend are coming. I’ll be she will be more nervous than you will be. At least you know everyone, but her! You can welcome her and it will make you less nervous.

Ann: You have a very Merry Chrismtas as well!

  4. Plume Says:

Ann T. Krist – Yeah it’s not quite the same without the snow. But for selfish practical reasons I don’t mind it.
Hope you’re having a lovely christmas with the family! And that you’ll get to go to Himalaya again. I’m sure that would be another great trip.

Debster – Hope you’re having a lovely christmas too. Say hi to everyone. I hope the goats got something nice for christmas!

  5. Ann T. Krist Says:

Thank you Debster, it is very kind of you! I hope you have a good time as well.

So how did it go Plume, any nasty panic attacks?

  6. Plume Says:

Ann T. Krist – It went quite well. Bit nervous at first, but it was a merry little christmas after all. Hope you had a good one too.
