Thermos Soup

I had a pretty good day yesterday. I went up and spent some time with the goats. Always fun.

Little video: youtube.com/watch?v=-qeIRt627-4

I was trying to teach Bob to put his hoof on my hand and the propel himself up in the air. He sort of did it spontaneously a couple of times so I tried to get him to do it again and give him raisins for it. He didn’t quite get it, but he did get even more enthusiastic about jumping up on me, which you can see a bit of in the video.

I had such a lovely time that I almost forgot to be cold. Of course as soon as I left the playground the cold started creeping in. I always like to just wash my hands at the outdoor tap when I leave, to get the worst goat hair and dirt off me. Makes for cold, cold fingers though.

When I got back home I warmed up a pot of mama’s leftover soup from Sunday. Mmm mm. That’s the stuff. Warms the body and the soul. I should bring a thermos bottle of it out with me in the cold. I bet that would be even better than thermal underwear.

In other news, DOWN WITH SOPA. Yeah. Boo. To protest SOPA I’m probably not going to be blogging again for oh several days. Oh me oh my. That should send a message.

Bob was trying to climb “Plume Mountain”. He was sure glad to see you and was smiling when he got scratches.

It’s been cold here. Now it’s foggy with some freezing rain, then will warm up and melt the ice, then get colder again. Always something . . . I want to see the sun!

Debster – I want to see the sun too! Weather forecast says temperatures will drop below zero here for most of next week. So winter is really here. Brrrr.

Oh happy day! We saw the sun today. Wow, it sure makes a big difference in my mood.

The goats and donkey were out in the pen sunning and enjoying the nicer weather. They get tired of cloudy, windy, cold days, too.

Debster – Brother, can you spare some sun? Brrrr.
