Goats In Space!
Rather uneventful week. My ribs are doing better, though. So that’s good. The internet told me it would be 3-6 weeks for a broken or bruised rib to heal. And it’s been 3 weeks. So that’s about right. It feels really good to be able to turn around in bed without pain. There’s still a little bit of soreness at times, but other than that I seem to be good to go.
Nothing new really from the goat pen either. Herman is coming along nicely. Every day he seems to be getting more comfortable with me. Still not a fan of being touched, but he doesn’t run away as much. And he actively comes up to me when he senses there’s a chance for treats. Raisins do wonders. I wonder how long he’ll be staying. I think Nina said a month. But that’s probably not definite. It’s been 3 weeks. I hope he can stay a little longer. Fun little fella. It’s been interesting to witness his arrival and the changing dynamics.
Mio, of course, is not a fan. But by Thursday most of the chasing seemed to have died down. She still bleated little disgruntled noises when he came near. But maybe her resolve is lessening. We shall see in five months, I guess!
Today is my father’s birthday. Happy birthday, dad. He came over to drop some stuff off, but I was busy exercising. Had my earphones on. Apparently he had to knock on the door for 10 minutes and then let himself in with his key. Good earphones I have.
But that’s about it. Let’s get to the goat media. Bunch of bunch of pictures.
Herman and Palle on the bench. They get along surprisingly well. I thought maybe they’d be butting heads, but Palle is just so good-natured. And Herman has had his hands full with getting to know the new place and dealing with the divas. They’re about the same age too, so it’s like a couple of rowdy brothers. Very sweet.
I accidentally set my camera to a weird aspect ratio, but it’s still a sweet moment with Kamel.
Mia on the bench. I couldn’t help imagining the bench taking off like a spacecraft. Vroom vroom. Goats in space!
Mia and Palle and me makes three.
Sif the ewok dog. She’s had some stomach problems again, but finally doing better.
He has sweet eyes. I liked when I first met him and he looked up at me curiously, blinking his eyes.
Herman on top of the house, keeping an eye on Mio.
Sitting on the bench with Mia and Palle.
And a goatlog. With all the fun goat stuff.
And that’s all for these folks, see you in the next round.

Glad to hear your ribs are better. Did you have to use BBQ sauce on them? Hee, hee, I’m sorry I couldn’t resist that. Get it? Barbeque sauce!
Your video is so funny. I was laughing when I saw Palle jumping and twisting and I could hear you laughing in the background.
The gal who was delivering hay was just about mobbed by the goats. They came running all around her when she went to the second hay drop off area. Goatzies do love their hay.
Herman seems to be getting braver in his new surroundings. He really likes those raisins, but not to sure about getting the pats and scratches that go along with them.
I sent you an email with my new email address. I hadn’t updated it when our provider changed names. But since we bought a new computer, I decided to update everything.
What kind of computer did we get, you ask? A black one! Hee, hee. No, it’s a Dell with a wireless keyboard and mouse, and has a touch screen. Everything is in the monitor that sits on the desk (the tower, CD slot, speakers, etc.)
The monitor weighs a lot and is about as big as a small pony. I don’t think my husband could see on a laptop, so this is what we got instead. We bought it from a local computer repair person and she installed everything and transferred files, etc., on it.
It’s so different from our other computer. My questions were how do you turn it on and off? She asked if we were on social media or played games. No, we mainly use it for work – since we are very boring people!
We trimmed goat hooves last weekend and everyone really looks nice after some combing. Still lots of little wooly bits to comb out though. The cats received a good combing, too.

I’m a vegetarian now, remember? Only tofu ribs! I’m glad my ribs are better, though. Now I know what Adam felt like!
I try to suppress me laughter when I film the goats, but sometimes I just can’t help it and I have to giggle a little. Those sily goats. Herman is definitely getting braver. Every time I see him he’s a little bit bolder. In the newest goatlog you can see him doing a little dance for a raisin. He knows the score.
I hope the new computer will work well! It sounds like quite a beast. Maybe a big goat buck. Got your mail too. I have updated my records. Or.. well I have it in my inbox in case I need it. I don’t really keep records!

I forgot you don’t eat meat. BBQ sauce on tofu would just be wrong, totally wrong! I don’t like tofu either. I’ve had some in Chinese food and it just didn’t taste like much to me.
I like to hear you laughing with the goats and I like to hear Bodil talk and hear how names are pronounced. I listen really hard to see if I can make out any familiar words even though I don’t know Danish.
Sometimes I can figure out some of it just from the context the words are spoken in your videos. Like when the goats do something silly or Sif sneezes and everyone laughs and says something about the goats or says Sif’s name.
