Pigment of My Imagination

I have forgotten how I wanted to start this entry. Two days in a row I have postponed it. For no good reason, other than being tired and wanting to go to bed instead of blogging. The bed always wins.

I had a good conversation with Kurt at the playground. A really good one, in fact. Where I forgot about being social phobic and talked. Instead of just listening I actually talked. One of the things we talked about was Magnethe.

Magnethe

How she has ballooned up. Kurt had been gone since Friday (and this was on Wednesday) and in just that short time she had really gotten big.

And that is of course why she has been lying down a lot. Nothing to do with warmth or busy playgrounds, no. She is simply pregnant. And heavily so. She almost looks bigger than Mathilde now.

Mathilde

Although I’m not sure you can tell from the pictures. But let me tell you, she is larger than life. Like Kurt put it, she’s wobbling around like she has pooped her pants. Hehee. She almost can’t get through the hatch in their staple anymore.

I asked Kurt if they knew how many kids she would be having, if they normally had just one or if they got more. And he said they often get more than one. Two or three. Mathilde is a twin of course. And judging by Magnethe’s size I’d guess she’s having more than one. Wouldn’t it be something if both Magnethe and Mathilde got three kids each? Haha. Six goat kids running around, that would be insane. It would be fun, but I’d probably prefer fewer. I’m glad Magnethe was an only child, it just made her even more special.

Magnethe and Mathilde

I’m not exactly sure what the schedule is, but I would guess in a couple of weeks or less we should have kids. And Mads is going to have a whole herd to keep in check.

Mads

He’s going to be busy. He’s probably going to be jealous too, with the kids getting all the attention. Anne says that the thing with the boy the other day was probably about him being jealous too. Which makes sense. I just wonder what it was about that one boy that made him react like that. But it’s sweet, that he wants me all to himself.

Mads and me

Per and Kurt have told me that too, that Mads doesn’t want to share me. Hey, I know the feeling. Sometimes I get jealous if there are other people around and Mads goes to investigate them. I just want him to stay with me! But once he sees that the other people don’t have food for him then he comes back to me and I give him a good cuddle. Kurt calls him “kælegris” which means someting like.. cuddle pig? Cuddlebug is how I’d say it. He likes to cuddle. He’s so much fun. He’s like a stereotype of the male leader who tries to act tough, but when you get to know him then you see he’s just a big, cuddly scaredy-cat. He was trying to butt Æsel, the roaming bunny. Per chastised him “Maaads” and I said “pick on someone your own size, Mads”. And Per said “well then he gets scared, the little coward”. Hehe. He might seem like a macho goat, but he’s a big softie at heart.

Mads

He’s gotten a little spot on his nose.

You might have to look at the full-size picture to see it. And even then it looks like a booger, I guess. But it’s like the black pigment has faded almost. A little on top of the nose and then down on the nostril. Peculiar.

So there you go. I’ll sign off with a couple more pictures. Happy weekend to you all.
