Oh Soup, Thy Splendour Is an Ode to Creationism

I hope all you Americans out there had a nice thanksgiving. I am thankful for knowing you guys. And for the non-Americans too, of course. I’m no racialist.

I am done with the pictures for the christmas card. I still have to put it all together at work, so it won’t be completed for a while yet. But I am quite pleased with the pictures. I think they will make you smile. They certainly make me smile. I wish I could just post them now. Or the videos I made. I am excited like a little boy on christmas eve. Sharing is almost as good as receiving. Almost. Because you know, I still want a million dollars.

So keep sending me your addresses if you want a card. And if you should want to send me a card back then my address is still here for all prying eyes to see.

On a sadder note, we are now all out of soup. Sniffle. If I could have my way I’d eat soup for dinner every day. Hmm, that rhymes. I should write a poem about soup.

Gobble, gobble! I’m stuffed full of turkey. We had a nice Thanksgiving on Thursday at my parents’ house.

Our goatsies say “Hi & baaaa” to you, Plume. The weather has been nice, so after work I spent some time with them and my husband spent time with them tonight. They really aren’t spoiled, just well loved.

Do you make soup, Plume? We make vegetable/beef soup all the time in the winter. I like cheesy potato soup, too. My husband loves chili soup.

PS: you sound good. Like almost really happy! Yay, Plume!

Don’t look at meeee!! I’m fat as a house. I’ve never eaten so much food in such a long time. I like turkey but only once a year. I’m basically a vegetarian. Also, I like the idea of sending us humble folk homemade Christmas cards. And as always, we shall send you one in return.

Hey, you’re still going to the playground Christmas party, right?? We want to see lots of pictures of everyone there. Does Nina get to come in to the party?

Please go and have some fun. Aren’t you glad you told all of us about the party now?

#1 Take funny pictures for blog.
#2 Have fun at party for blog readers.
#3 Wear lampshade on head and do funny little dance.
#4 Put lampshade on Mads’ head and he does funny little dance.
#5 Put lampshade on Nina’s head and she does funny little dance.

Deb – Gobble! I’m glad you had a nice thanksgiving. Remember to give thanks for that next year!
I do make soup myself, but only the very simple “cuppa soup” kind of things. Or a stock cube in a cup of water. I can’t make a big production like my mother’s soup. I shall have to learn some day.
I’m still planning to go to the christmas party yes. Must be next weekend, if I don’t have my dates mixed up. I’m not sure if Nina will be invited in, but if not then maybe I can sneak her in somehow. You know how at some parties there’s a “children’s table” or so? Maybe I could set up an “animal table” and let all the animals join the party. Of course I’d be in a dilemma then, what table should I sit at? I’d probably feel most at home with the animals. But I shall try to enjoy the human company too. I might wear a lampshade, but don’t count on me dancing!
And yes, flour balls sound better in Danish. I guess “flour balls” isn’t really an English phrase. It’s just a literal translation of the danish word “melboller”. I didn’t know what they were called in English so I just made it up. Danglish, you could say.

Luis – Time to go to the gym, eh? Hehe. “Humble folk”? You make me feel like I am some sort of nobleman and you’re all peasants hah. Which reminds me of Monty Python. “Help, help, I’m being repressed”. My favourite line.
