Monty Python’s Flying Goat
And for those of you who don’t like sports… there’s Magnethe in a bucket:
It’s gotten late. I think I will just post some pictures. Maybe there will be room for some anecdotes too.
Lots of little bunnies ahopping.
It’s charming how they scurry around with the chickens. It’s a confused mess.
Mads looking at the hatch. Deceptively sunny. It was bitterly cold though. So cold it was almost too much for me.
A closer look. I like that picture. You should look at the fullsize version. Mads is a handsome goat.
“What’s going on in here then?”. He did go outside. But soon came back.
I like his beard. Goat beards are cool.
Today was rather warmer. I sat on the bench, Mads stood next to me as he usually does. Then he started making those snorring sounds. Ooh, I thought. Maybe he’s going to have a little lie down. And he did.
I think that’s the first time I have seen him lie down on the bench. I love sitting with him like that. Putting my arm around him. At first he sat down in the other direction, with his head against my body. That was so sweet. He wasn’t to comfy though, I think. He soon got up and moved about a little and then sat down in that direction. And then 10-15 minutes later he jumped off the bench and went for a hay bunch.
I love how he looks when his legs are tugged in like that. Like a furry ball with a head on top. Hehe. He was very tired I think. As exhibited by the huuuuge yawn he made. Man I wish my camera had been on when he did it. It looked so funny. I have only seen him yawn a couple of times. This google search might give you an idea of how it looked.
Meanwhile, Magnethe has almost finished off the christmas tree.
Remember I said my mom would be making soup soon? And then I didn’t mention it again. That’s because she didn’t end up making it. But on Sunday she will. And it’s snowing. Is there anything more perfect than a winter with snow and momma’s world famous soup? Good stuff.
And that’s all for now, folks.

After they stand in the bucket, do they get treats from you? Do they expect treats?

If I saw a Plume standing in a bucket, I’d give him treats. A sno-cone!
You’re a mind reader, Plume. I was just wondering how the bunnies were doing and here are some cute bunny pictures. Thank you.
Aren’t goat yawns funny? I’ve seen our two goats yawn only a few times and it’s so unexpected and funny. I asked my husband: “Did you see that, Billy just yawned!” Oh, you know you’ve got it bad when you get excited over goat yawns!
We saw baby goat pictures tonight. Our neighbors Boer goat had one female goat about a week ago. She is so cute! She’s all white. Can’t wait to see her in person. We were kidding the owners about their “furry 4-footed grandkid”.

Luis Lemmings – Nope, it’s not for treats. Magnethe just does it. It seems like such a random thing, doesn’t it? There’s a bucket, I must stand in it. I love it. Whenever Mads sees a bucket turned on its head then he stands up on it and then he DOES expect a treat. That’s the trick I taught him. I have to push over the buckets sometimes, otherwise he keeps standing up on them and looking at me like “okay, I did my part of the deal, now you gimme treats!”.
Debster – Ooh, Plume would like a sno-cone! I must find a bucket, methinks.
Goat yawns are the greatest. He looked so funny. And all the more because they’re so rare, they come as a great surprise. goat yawns are happiness!
Aw. Baby goats. I hope I’ll get to see some soon. I should like some 4footed grandkids.
